Terrible!
The app is not functional which makes the the device useless. The app should be advertised and on the box. It’s been 4 years and have not progressed to a working product. Terrible!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS APP!! I purchased A Translator through Staulino called “ TRANSLATY” and you need to activate it through this app which will not work!!! It will not give you a code to connect! Their app is a scam!!!
Won’t connect
I’m trying to stay calm. I spent $100 dollars for this device and as beautiful as it is, it has not connected yet. It didn’t come with any customer support in the box. I’m wondering what to do next. The website is in Chinese so that doesn’t help. I’m going to call the company that handles the distribution and see if I get some results...
FYI - I was able to connect after retrying for 2 hours. After I turned the device off and attempted to start it again i had to go through the whole process of reconnecting again. It’s just not worth it. They need to improve the connectivity issues.
So I called Customer Service 800-738-1106 to get a refund! How shady! They will refund if you are within your 30 days of purchase AND they will try to refund you only 10% of what you paid and tell you to keep it or sell it to someone else! If you make a big deal about it they will reluctantly refund you 75% of what you paid minus shipping and handling. They will complete the refund after you send them their device! YOU must pay shipping. You MUST use their RMA code that they give you for returns AND you must return in 7 -14 days! Never again will China get me by the tail!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
We bought two (2) Pocket Translators from this company and neither will connect to either our WiFi or Hotspot. Multiple attempts with each device resulted the same: Failure. No means of getting back to the company for a refund. This is Chinese garbage.
Good device, bad translator app.
I got the device to work over my home wifi internet. I can not get it to connect to my hotspot. It's been over three months now. You should be reported to the Chinese government for selling a bad product that makes China look bad. The device wants to work but your hello translator app is the problem. Please fix it.

Will not connect to WiFi or iPhone X
Manual is limited on instructions Downloaded iPhone app to set up T9 device and cannot get device to connect to WiFi or iPhone HotSpot.

Has anyone tried to return this item? I’m having the same issue with not connecting.
Cannot connect
The device will not connect to my network despite numerous attempts. One cannot evaluate how it works when you can’t even get beyond the app download.

I am trying to get a iPhone connection with the device and it simply doesn’t work! Connection failed , that’s all I get. I do not advise anyone to buy this translator. A waste of money and time !!

Won’t connect
I had the same problem others did. I downloaded the app, set up the device on my Wifi network and it connected. But when I try and use the translator, it kept saying, “network unavailability”. The app is very difficult to use and there is no help other than a picture of the device.

device is unable to conect to the network (wifi or hotspot). Try many times and there is not support website or number to call.
