Hiding info from the public.

This app replaced the perfectly functional desktop format in order to HIDE arrest records from the public. The ‘Most Wanted’ page is blank on this app and it’s now impossible to look up old arrests. Why not add the app as a complement to the desktop version? Why discontinue the desktop version completely? It had greater functionality and was more accessible to older citizens who don’t have smart phones. Pretty shady move. Why would anyone give this 5 stars? It’s useless.

Does not update properly

As of 12/31/20, the app does not update inmate searches efficiently. If you type in a name, doesn’t matter what name, the most recent bookings come up first, it never actually searches for the name. The app also responds very slowly, needs another bug update.

Just wow

I am completely baffled at the fact such a small town has an app for their Sheriffs Department. It makes me laugh. Overall though the app is setup great and this setup should be implemented in more places.

Off To A Great Start

The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office has released a fantastic tool for the community and I’m sure it’s deputies and employees.

This application serves nicely as a communication tool to the residents of the the county and those around it in public safety matters such as weather alerts, missing and wanting person bulletins, road and hazardous location warnings, and other important information related to the well being of the county’s population.

This app doubles a easy to use public information gateway to those interested in CWPs, detention center affairs, prospective career opportunities, but most of all, a streamlined means of reporting non emergency tips and matters to the sheriff’s office attention. With the option of submission of related photos, and accurate location details.

The only downsides of this tool are incarcerated persons of the HCDC don’t have “mugshots” and options of limiting what type of alerts that are pushed through your devices notification system could be given more of a filter. Perhaps using a system of levels of severity could be implemented.

I can only speak on that of the open channels given to the general public, “all users” does its job well with delivering relevant information to those who are interested in their county and being aware of what information the SO needs help with.

Awesome App!

As an information professional living and working in Henderson Country, NC (12 yrs) I have a lot of experience with technology and apps, I have to say this is a great app! It’s easy to use, lots of visual clues that help make using it pretty intuitive, and it runs smoothly, no glitches so far.
I commend our Sheriff for his forward thinking in bringing this tool to our community and will be recommending it to the people I help here. So pleased with this app!
