HereN is a small app for events where the venue wants to give you something for keeping your phone in your pocket. It works like this: You get to the venue, scan their QR code to check in, and lock your phone. Go enjoy the show. When you're leaving, scan out. If you stayed off your phone, the reward the venue set up unlocks. Done. A few things worth knowing: Locking your phone is free — that's the point, so do it as much as you want. If you do glance at it, it's not the end of the world. A quick check early on won't ruin your night, and the longer you stay off it, the more that evens out. If you actually need your phone for something, you can flag that and those moments won't count against you. And if the venue opens up a window for everyone — say, to film the encore — you'll get a heads-up and phones are fair game for a bit. When you check out you get your score and, if you passed, the reward. You can share a card of it if you want, or not. Past sessions are saved under your account so you can look back at them. On the privacy side: no location, no GPS, no audio. The app only looks at whether you opened other apps during the event. You can delete your account whenever and your info goes with it.
