Glitched/Game abandoned

Was enjoying it. It is a game that you are slow to progress in. Only having 1 builder for a long period of time to start the game. I struggled past this period and got my second builder….only to have 1 of my heroes not fight in the battles. He just stands there doing nothing. Hard to progress past wave 130 when your heroes (the bulk of damage in this game) don’t work.

Will give it a day and see if anything happens if not I’ll uninstall. Shame, was nice to finally find a game that doesn’t seem like a cash grab.

Ugh

WAY too much waiting. Wait to build, wait to clear areas in order to build, wait to make towers (really??). Choosing your hero for the battles is not clear at all - the tutorial shows how, but after that I can't seem to do it. The game just screams microstransactions.

Asking to share personal information

I downloaded this game, however I didn’t get as far as the splash screen before a popup window was asking permission for the app to share my personal data with an enormous list of companies, each of which I would have to uncheck the box to ensure that my personal data is not shared for profit. There were so many in fact that it entirely put me off even getting as far as starting to play the game. I have deleted this data farming app and shall not be downloading it again.

Delightful, fun game

Into my first day of HoV and I am enjoying it. The screen movement is not always simple (iPad), but graphics are good and gameplay straightforward to pick up. Sure, if you buy stuff you will progress faster, and build times can be rushed with gems, though it is fair developers get something from what is otherwise a free game. Buying something from time to time seems fair! Nice bit of Viking slaughter if you like tower defence games.

Update after a couple of weeks playing. Gameplay still good, fun defensive game, but stuck with low quality heroes. Bought 54 basic horns and 24 advanced horns and all I got was 6 blue heroes (all duplicates), no purple, no gold heroes. This isn’t going to keep players in this game, so unless there are ways of winning better heroes or shards through the game, the casino approach gets boring very fast when you get no wins.

Great game, BUT

I’ve been playing this game for a while now & nothing was wrong with it. Up until now. I’ve been having trouble getting the app to start these last couple days. It’ll only load up to 80% & stay like that. I’ll restart my phone & sometimes that helps. But most of the times, it doesn’t. Please fix this & I’ll change my rating to 5 stars.

More To Do

I’ve been playing for maybe two weeks now and have just struggled to find an easier way to level up your characters other than failing a raid over and over until you manage to get by. With that being said I was hoping there would be an update with more implications to the raid feature or maybe a just other things to do than simply raid and defend waves. Also the only way to generate gold is to build houses and wait, which when you get to a certain point of the game you have so much to upgrade still and no gold but, I do enjoy the game I understand it is fairly new and simple to understand just hope for more things to do in the future.

Move buildings

So far I like it. It’s simple but addictive only thing I see so far that I would improve is I’d like to be able to edit and move the building in the town.

Very generic

The graphics are from 1986, literally. No descriptions of anything or even explanations. They simply did not put much effort into polishing this game. Bad graphics, no descriptions, no events, no PvP, just nothing.

great game but a feature is missing

the game is fantastic and i love the design of the defences however i liked the raid system but i wish you could actually see what’s happening like in grow: empire Rome, if you could add it i would very much appreciate it

Atrocious…

…the moment I found out you had to wait 30 seconds for a tower to be built…that is the tower as in TOWER DEFENSE and could ‘rush’ this with a gem I deleted it. Pathetic. Nobody is going to wait 30 seconds for a simple tower to be built and the developers need their heads banging together for thinking people are going to wait 30 seconds for a tower to be built when it should be done instantly. I totally get the whole waiting thing and rushing it with a gem when you are building up a town but not when you are tower defending 🧐
