Worst App Ever
Borderline useless, the inability to log in and stay logged in is ridiculous. It also doesn’t tally at all and has caused me to miss returning books and get fined because they weren’t showing in the app. Absolutely abysmal…
Rarely works
Can’t access library catalogue and does not display current library records. Practically useless except for library card barcode.
Lacks ability to move between pages
No back button! Stuck on a page and no way to exit it. Clunky app. Needs a lot of work.
Doesn’t work
I can’t see the books I currently have out, this is a regular occurrence. I need to know what books I have borrowed and when they need to be back by!
Searching doesn’t work
Fine for renewals but searching the catalogue for any book always returns zero results

What have you done?
The old app was easy to read and use. Who would invent a black background with light green font for text? Under accessibility it proudly states you cannot change this colour scheme. Bring back the old black on white scheme please.

I just get the rotating circle. I have lost the facilities I had with the previous app. Including renewals! NOT happy.

This app stopped working during 2022.
It literally does nothing except records your card number and directs you to a web page where you can get into you library account.

Missing multiple account management
It’s not possible to manage multiple accounts from the App without manually logging out and back in again, remembering your own account details. This makes it of limited use when trying to look after the library account of an adult and more than one child.
Some improvement needed
Good to have an app rather than having to visit the website each time, however, a few new features would make this so much more useful!
1. Being able to switch between saved accounts so I can renew my childrens books alongside my own
2. Not having to put borrower no. And password back into the app when it’s recommending ebooks/audiobooks via borrow box or Libby

Useless barcode
I have seen a number of people, both customers and staff in libraries who are frustrated because the barcode on the app won’t scan at the enquiry desk, this has to be fixed to make the app useful.
Otherwise it is averagely useful, but prefer to use the web site where possible.

Awful app
This is one of the worst apps I have used. Most of the times I search for a book, I cannot even scroll down to see it’s availability. Seriously waste of time.

Come on guys, I love the library! This could be a really helpful and useful tool! Too slow and crashes too often.

Can’t scroll
You can’t scroll down to see the full list of libraries, or even the full record of books you have on loan. The help pages don’t work either. Useless.

You can reserve books and renew them which is convenient.
Practically unusable
I tried to use this app on an iPhone 6S to look for available books but none of the functions work well.
The whole app is slow or unresponsive, I’m unable to scroll down on searches and unable to scroll down to see where a book is available.
Back to the website then, at least that works.

Cumbersome and very limited functionality
This app is in desperate need of updating. If you forget your pin, it is a multitude of steps before you can retrieve this. The forget pin link does not even directly link to a website where you can retrieve your pin.
Once you finally get in you can see any charges, but I could not see a way to pay these fines online.
In the ebooks section many of the books are on loan. Surely the whole point of ebooks is many people can download them simultaneously.
The only reason I have given this app 1 star is because I can’t see a way to give a lower rating.
