Great app
This is an extremely useful Catan generator. Lots of different options. I have one question about the app- when generating an “even” map, I wonder what the algorithm determines is “even”? Sometimes it seems that there are more balanced maps than others.

Does everything you need. Super easy to use.
Effortless fair layouts!
Our family is very fond of Catan and we have always struggled to create fairs layouts with some sort of random element. I was already starting an algorithm when I found Hex Isle Map and VOILA! So easy to achieve a fair game with or without adjacent hexes!

One of the better map generators
Tried three different ones found in the App Store and this one does a solid job randomizing the tiles and distributing the numbers evenly. Yes, this app even fixes the default three player fog island map that comes in the manual with two 8’s side-by-side.
Especially useful is the shuffle option, which allows you to keep the map design and lets you shuffle just the numbers or just the tiles. And has an option to avoid adjacent same tile placement.
All round awesomeness to breathe back life into an old game.
On the wish list: is the ability to individually change tiles and change numbers. For example, one map design was perfect except the lake in the middle of the land. Would have liked to manually change that one tile to something else.
An interesting peculiarity: you can pay to remove ads. Yet I did not see any ads. But the app was well worth it, so I paid the nominal in-app purchase anyways to support this developer. Yes, this map generator is worth it. Thank you.

Best Catan Generator.
Simple interface large variety of generation options. The seafarers "New World" generator had a couple of the numbers wrong, but it's brought that to the devs attention and fixed. Couldn't be happier with the app.

This is easily the best Catan board generator app out there. It’s has a simple and straightforward interface that is laid out so you can pick a board quite easily and quickly. The ability to pick evenly or totally random generated boards is great, as is the feature to reveal the fog Island hexes. It makes playing these maps easier cause the set up is much quicker. If you aren’t interested in a in-app dice rolling app, then this is the gold standard for Catan board apps. Couldn’t be simpler or easier.

You can set it for basic Catan or Seafarers, both with up to 6 players.

I've used the other app for generating boards but this one is much cleaner faster and has the seafarer scenarios. My only complaint is there is no paid version to get rid of the ads.
