the feature it has — putting colored symbols in a hex grid — is excellent… but too few symbols, no labeling, no population… it has traditional swamp, coniferous forest, desert, hill, mountain, and water symbols. It needs a proper grassland (5 parallel lines), deciduous forest, broken, and farmland; it needs also river overlay, population center overlay, and label overlays…

The map still can’t be manually locked into place and will just teleport all over the place

Can I suggest putting lava, rocks, pathway, and some more stuff like that? I would love it if you would do that!
Almost there
Good simple hex map maker. However map snapping to edges makes it almost unusable. Needs a more free viewing functionality.
Nice start
I would really love this to grow mature. Maps are simple and quickly done and it is the only app of its kind in the App Store, as far as I know. To bad, you get on the apps limits so fast. I would love build cities, ruins etc., in short full maps with this.
Nearly perfect
Great for simple terrain and super easy to get into but I only have one complaint that we can’t add in our own tiles that would that app pretty perfect but hey it’s free so I can’t complain much
Good, but could be improved
I was looking for a basic mapping app to start mapping the world my book is set in, and this is about what I was looking for. But I would say that having some other terrain hexes would be very beneficial. For example, jungle, plains, swamp, city/town.

Map jumps around, all over the screen. impossible to use.
Also the hex symbols are not very pretty, and no option to make them pretty.

Good Start
Easy to use for the most basic of maps. It would be better if there was an undo button, as you can sometimes mess your map up while trying to move around the image. Could also use an export to PDF or PNG. More map tiles would also be nice.
Needs some work.
Good app. Really useful, however, moving the map around to try and get it to zoom in and back out was a nightmare. Really struggled to navigate maps particularly larger ones. That’s the only downside to this app. If it easier to navigate around I would have given it 5 stars.

This game is legit.you can make maps with hexagons.I gave it a 4 because I prefer some suggestions.Can you add villages and more?

For a free app is easily something wonderful that you guys made, but I would like some kind of Gray blocks for cities and like light blue for ice regions, it would be actually perfect
Camera, please.
I was a bit bored so I tried to find some apps that could make a map because why not?
This was the best I could find. But the camera. It is sooo awful. I can’t even go to the centre of the map without going to the corners.

Clean and (a bit too) simple
This app is pretty smooth to use, however i have three main issues with it:
1. The camera is odd, and doesnt let me easily see everything at once like i should be able to.
2. There are not enough tiles, and it’s pretty limiting. A tile for cliffs would be nice (but not necessary) and more then one type of settlement, too. (On the assumption gold is a settlement) a good and evil type of settlement, like villages and towns and then outposts and lairs and stuff.
3. Add a fill tool. Please. Please, i’m begging you. Filling in a 64 x 64 map with a single tile is rough, and i make maps by filling everything in with water and then adding in islands and things afterwards, making this issue especially prevalent.
