What's New in Hexaflip

5.2.8

April 8, 2021

Survival Mode Added: When you complete a world you unlock survival mode for that world, play all the levels in the world in a row and get as far as possible. If you complete all levels and collect all orbs you get a special Survival badge. A whole bunch of improvements and fixes.

Worthless levels

The levels don’t have any meaning, and there is no world X (10) yet. That is disappointing. What is more is that once you finish all the levels there is no more to play. Bonus levels are weird and too hard, as well as golden orbs, which should be currency of some sort. Survival mode is one thing, but it has 2 problems. First of all, it is just a stupid replay of all the levels. Second of all, once you crash you start from the same level again but the name is the first level, so you are going to be playing the same level twice or thrice. One more bug will be mentioned in this review. If you go in a previous world, or into the next world a bug will occur. For example, take level 4, which is in world 1, and play it while you are in the world 2 zone, level 4 will appear to be in world 2. It is interesting because that means you get to try out different levels in different worlds, but it is still a bug and should be fixed.

Great Game, One Suggestion

The levels are fun but after you finish it it always takes you back to the main page. I wish that after you finish a level it then gives you an option where you can play the next level without always having to go back to the main menu. Just a minor problem but something that’s worth fixing. Great game, love it!

Fun game with annoying bugs

This game is very responsive and fun to play, however it is loaded with bugs that are annoying. The game often loses track of your progress, I’ve had to redo entire worlds because it won’t save my progress when I switch apps. It also spams you with repeated Game Center notifications, almost continually while your playing the game. Finally the other issue is that when the app is closed and launched fresh, it will make you click through all of your skins.

This app got worse

I played this when it first came out. I made it through all 80+ levels pretty quick and I had fun doing it. I was pretty excited to see this update.

Problem: the touch interaction is off. I tap left - it goes right. I tap right - it goes left. Since I played the 88 levels before this update, I’m confident I understand gameplay. There is something clearly wrong. I’m playing on a brand new iPhone 12. Hardware is not the issue.

Please fix.

Great game, a few minor bugs...

Love the game! I think I have had it for about a week and already on level 48! The bonus world's are challenging which is great too. I'd give it 4/5 stars if a few bugs could be addressed.

1. If for any reason your phone is idle after you have just completed a level. When you play the next level you lose your progress. I end up needing to leave and restart the app entirely and then replay the last completed level to regain access to the next. It's weird and a bit deterring.

2. The apple game notifications go off constantly, even though they are sometimes incorrect. I'd love the option to turn off these alerts as they aren't seeming to add value to the experience, but are distracting.

3. When I re-opening the app, I need to click through a ton of times for new skins that I may have unlocked, many of which I feel like I've unlocked before. Ex. I get alerted to click through and accept new skins unlocked for logging in 1, 2, & 3 days in a row on day 4. As if it were showing them all to me for the 1st time, every time.

Overall, the game is great. Would def give a higher rating if not for these few constant bugs.
