A Hidden Gem!!!!
My favorite games in the App Store tend to be the smaller (in file size) puzzle games that keep you thinking, and keep you coming back for more. This is one that I know I'll be playing for ages. It's very addicting. It's a pipe type puzzle but with its own unique twist to it. Definitely should be on the Must Have list of those who enjoy puzzles.

Awesome
Totally addictive and amazing fun!
An AMAZING game
I was really bored with my games and looking for something different. I'm so glad I found this game! It's worth every penny. It's really, really fun. The rules are simple enough that you can jump right in creating smaller loops, but it can get as complicated as you want trying to create the larger loops. If you like pipe type games you'll love this!

This one's a winner.
The interface for this puzzle game is surprisingly intuitive, and the progressive levels make for a challenging game. As a puzzle game, it easily matches the play value you'll find in Tetris or elswhere, with clean play and a solidly pleasing visual design. In a fair world this would be a top app anywhere.

Fast paced and challenging
This is a fast paced and challenging game. You can choose how to turn the tiles (I prefer to click on them). You have to turn or rotate the tiles to form an unbroken loop that includes one or more tiles with gems on them. It is harder than you might think as the tiles are hexagonal in shape and the tiles with the "turned" pieces are therefore not at right angles (I think they are at 60degrees). And you are playing against a timer that will explode the gem tiles and any you have joined to the gem tiles. You will need all 3 of the lives you start with, but even so I have been able to keep playing for an extended period of time. The gems start flashing soon before they explode and this adds a sense of pace and pressure to act faster. Your progress is remembered if the game is interupted so you can pick up where you left off. The game interface is slick and polished. The instructions and tutorials are clear, precise and easy to follow. The status bar is shown so you can keep track of time and your iphone battery life. There are sound effects that can be turned on and off and you can also listen to your own ipod music. The developers are friendly and have already responded to feedback to change the game play to include a click to rotate option. If you are looking for a fast paced and challenging game to exercise your brain then buy this game. I reviewed this game 1st Nov 2008.

different and fun
I give this a five as a first version. The controls are easy with a little practice. The different shaped pieces that come in the later levels make things more interesting. Right now I put this on par with my favorite puzzle apps. If you like connect games like pipes or bejeweled this is another one you'll want. Main suggestion is for more gameplay options or starting from specific levels to make it harder right from the start.

Great!
The developer listened to the requests to add tapping to the control mechanism, so am delighted to change my review to 5*!

Better in concept than in execution
I find this game fiddly and difficult. An update has fixed this a little so that one can tap on the pieces instead of spinning them, but I still maintain that this game is much too difficult to play. I gave it one more try today and finally figured out why: the L shaped pieces are not at proper right angles! This makes it *very* hard to plan your moves and predict how the pieces will fit together. You'll think you have it all set up, then at the last minute your last piece will be just slightly off. It takes forever to complete any chain. The game is very frustrating. My two-star (if that) rating stands.

Awesome game!
This is a high quality, fun and addicting game that is worth every penny. It has excellent graphics, the animation is done very well, the sound effects are great, and most importantly, it is really fun. I highly recommend the game to anyone that likes puzzle games like Hexic and Trism.
A great new puzzle game!
What a great game - unlike the previous reviewer I took to the control method really quickly and have no problems what so ever. It's nice to see new games on the app store even nicer to see something unique amongst the Tetris/Bejewelled clones and other match 3 puzzle games. The gameplay is well pitched for short bursts of gaming and the difficulty seems well balanced. Another hit for the iphone and another reason fo my DS o stay at home ;)

Well it's about freaking time!!!
...About time we start getting some more great puzzle games. Lots of crap out there.
This one speaks for itself, aside from great sound effects (they actually can create some good stress!) - The gameplay is very similar to RAINBOW RUFFLE, but instead of being cute, this one feels sort of eerie (in a cool way)
I would love to see more themes, although the blocks do change colors as the levels progress (Level 1 blue, level 2 green, etc.)
I also found some variances will pop in as well, almost like special power hex-blocks.
It's not very often that we get a great puzzle game for the ipod touch. Of course I am referring to games like EA TETRIS, TRISM, NUMBA, PLANK, and now HEXTERITY.
There are also times when a game comes along that looks pretty good but not great, so we buy it because we want to have SOMETHING to make us feel good about the sea of garbage in the itunes store...HEXTERITY STANDS ON IT'S OWN. IT WOULD BE A GREAT GAME even if the itunes had nothing but great games! (Sorry, it's hard for me to explain that properly!)
My main point is that Hexterity is a great game, buy it if you enjoy puzzle games.
Great job Wooji Juice!

Fun take on the "Pipes" concept
I enjoy these types of games, and this one didn't dissapoint. The only suggestion I would like added is the ability to just tap a cell and have it rotate. That seems to me to be a logical way to rotate the cells. Also, good job on not stopping songs from playing when the app starts.
