Broke AI assistant
This update demolished the ai assistant function. Glasses won’t even respond on glasses for what is in front of the glasses anymore. Had to ask what was the last question about to show response on screen. Continuous conversation is also broken - glasses just kept interrupting its own reply because of something? Please revert back to previous update.
Previously, assistant responses appeared directly in the glasses display in real time. Now responses are mainly appearing on the phone instead of the glasses. Please review recent changes to AR display routing, overlay behavior, or companion app integration. Device connection is still active, but the in-glasses visual response experience seems reduced compared to earlier versions.

Forced to use Chinese AI
I am located in United States and I visited China for business then these glasses are changed forever, the AI models are restricted to be chinese ones and after I sent an inquiry to the service department they tell me I’m located in China and I cannot use chatGPT or Gemini. This is bs. The glasses are a piece of trash.

For what it is!!!
For what it’s used for, it’s a solid app. With the updates rolling out over time, it’s definitely heading in the right direction. Knowing the major integrations that are coming, hopefully more with the iPhone Midwest, this easily goes from a 4/5 to a full 5. This is going to be a beast of a glasses AI app. Yeah, there are some bugs, but nothing deal‑breaking. After a few more updates, I’m ready to get even more value out of my glasses. Still hoping they don’t add a subscription that isn’t worth the value frfr.

Hopeful about the future of AR glasses
I seriously like and appreciate the Rokid Glasses (with display rather than the AI glasses without display). This is exactly what I hoped AR glasses would become as ubiquitous aides and on-screen notifications or support throughout the day. Still buggy at times with dropped connections, failure to connect, or things not working as they should… but the potential is there, and when it works well, it’s seriously impressive. Can’t wait to see how Rokid improves it and what they do next!

I’m updating the glasses review. They’re pretty good. I wish there was a mode to do offline translation of menus and whatnot. I have audio translations but not visual translations

The glasses worked great before the update but now the hi ROKID function or call doesn’t work. It doesn’t listen to my question. It immediately cuts me off or shows my find my notifications
Serious Privacy Concern: Requires Full Photo Library Access
The app currently requires full photo library access just to import photos from the glasses. This means granting access to your entire photo library, even though the app only needs to save new photo. The app refuse to work if you only grant limited access.
This is a huge privacy concern because it allows the developer of this app to potentially view all your photos on your phone, which should not be necessary for this functionality.
On top of that, the app repeatedly prompted for precise location access every time it’s opened, even though the navigation feature is not being used.
These are very bad privacy practices and perspective users should be aware before purchasing the glasses or installing the app.
