Can’t subscribe
Wish I could give 0 stars. Wanted to get a subscription so I could watch something different shows. Tried subscribing and it brings me back to the main page. Click on a show to watch and it tells me select a subscription plan. Pick the plan and it says I already have a plan. Brings me back to the main page and repeats this endless loop. App is trash.

What happened
I’m already subscribed and logged in, but the videos are still locked and I can’t watch any videos. Fix this ASAP

Signed up and subscribed. Every time I go to watch something it says I need to subscribe. What a horrific app. I guess I’ll watch their content by other means.

Needs a lot of work
1: Something is wrong with the subtitling - if it has more than one or two lines of text to display, it freezes up entirely. The Japanese audio and the video keep playing, but the subtitles stop showing. Sometimes they come back eventually if you pause the video for long enough, but something is wrong with the encoding or syncing or something. 2: The audio keeps switching back to English, and there is no way to default to Japanese with English subs. Every episode, I have to reselect the language, which is very frustrating and annoying. 3: something is wrong the mobile subscription mechanic. I selected the month by month plan, but was unable to watch any content. When I went into the Apple subscription menu in the iPhone settings, if I look at which subscription model I’m subscribed to, instead of two (monthly and yearly) I’m presented with like 10 or 15 subscription tiers to select from, half of which are the monthly, and half of which are the yearly models. I had to subscribe via a browser on my pc in order to access the app’s content. Several things are obviously broken in this app. There’s a lot of content I like, but the state is the app is dismal as of right now (8/10/26).

Subscribed but can’t access their service
I subscribed through my apple account and now I’m stuck in a loop that won’t let me access any content.
App issues
I’ve been using HiDive for years they’ll have 2-3 good anime’s a year. But re-subscribe this time and it’s charged for the subscription but I’m still locked out of everything. Deleted the app and redownloaded it. Nothing works. Click on the subscribe button just get error.
The app is crashing
The app keeps crashing when I try to open it even after deleting and reinstalling it it still crashes.

I renewed my subscription and now I can’t watch anything, every anime I try watching takes me to the subscription page same thing happens if I try the website , both app and website tell me I have a subscription but everything is locked . Tried restore in the app tells me the subscription is unlocked but still no way to watch anything.

Paying for nothing!!!
I paid for the subscription only to still be locked out of all of the shows. I tried to log out and log back in several times and it didn’t work. Tried waiting to see if it just took some time but still no. Extremely disappointed with this app for wasting my money for absolutely nothing! Crunchyroll sucks but at least you can watch something on their app so I guess I’ll be going back to them.

The app is absolutely trash, from the subtitles to the video player, it breaks literally every other episode. If you download anything in Japanese there are no subs. The app ask me buy a new plan literally every time you open it and you restore your purchase every single time you open the app. Could not recommend this to literally any one, save your self the money it ain’t worth one bit.

They make it hard to cancel.
Warning , they make it almost impossible to cancel your subscription. You can’t do it through the app you have to go into their website physically to cancel before you delete you account or they will continue to charge you , warning.
Fixes needed
Fix the subtitles disappearing from Sub it still happens, and app needs a face lift
Their app crashes constantly and subs rarely work.
Paid for a year subscription because they had titles I wanted to watch but the app is unusable. If you rotate your phone while watching the app will crash every time. Both phone and app are up to date. Most of the time the subtitles cut out and you need to restart the app to get them back. Truly disappointing.

Odd UI Decisions
Good variety of anime that aren't on Crunchyroll. The main things holding back this app are the search functionality and a whole host of bafflingly bad UI decisions. You'd better write down the names of the anime you're watching or download the entire series because there is no way to view the details or even the TITLE of the anime you're watching. Downloads page is jarring to look at too. Search only cares about exact titles, so you'll be using Google to find whatever is available on this app or just scroll the front page.
