FAQ
What is HIITList?
HIITList is an application designed to automatically extract high-intensity intervals from your GPS tracks or HealthKit workouts. It aims to eliminate the need for manual stopwatch use during interval training sessions.
How does HIITList detect intervals?
HIITList analyzes GPS data to identify intervals based on parameters you define, such as distance, minimum start speed, and minimum speed for an interval to be considered valid. It can also import data from TCX/GPX files.
Can I record my workouts directly with HIITList?
Yes, starting from version 2.0, you can use your iOS device to record your training sessions directly within HIITList. Be aware that continued use of GPS in the background can significantly reduce battery life.
What kind of GPS devices are recommended for HIITList?
HIITList was tested with GPS devices that use one-second recording. Tracks registered using 'smart recording' might produce faulty results. For best results, a GPS device with a barometric altimeter is recommended to differentiate flat tracks from hills.
Does HIITList support indoor workouts?
No, HIITList does not support indoor workouts as it relies on GPS coordinates for analysis. It is designed for outdoor activities where GPS signal is available.
What is the accuracy of HIITList's timing?
HIITList provides estimated times based on GPS data, which has an error margin of a few meters. For example, a 100-meter race electronically timed at 13.68 seconds was estimated at 13.76 seconds by HIITList. Do not expect spot-on times due to GPS limitations.
Does HIITList have ads?
No, HIITList does not contain advertisements. The application is free to download and use, with optional in-app purchases for additional features or content.
What is the update frequency for HIITList?
HIITList was last updated on June 29, 2022, with version 3.0.0. While specific update frequency isn't detailed, the developer has indicated plans for future releases, such as adding support for miles and min/km speed displays upon user request.
