I held back on getting Hilda because it wasn’t the kind of synth I was used to. Then I bought it, and it was true love, because it wasn’t the kind of synth I was used to, lol. Hilda will reward experimentation with sounds you’re not likely to get anywhere else!
Magic subconscious creativity
Resisted getting this for a long time, always skeptical of West Cost synthesis. Then they dropped the price and I’m glad I got it. Meditative and relaxing.

It’s unique sound path combines elements of both East and West coast synthesis techniques allowing you to explore a diverse range of sonic overtones, textures and nuances that have a lush, organic quality! Further, a series of circuit bent ‘nodes’ provide the ability to directly disrupt and mangle the signal path (without requiring a soldering iron) catering for real time performance, sound design workflows and sonic glitching - so awesome!

Sick but needs work
This is the best monosynth app on iOS. Problem is recording the AU automations. They don’t record well, or properly. 5 star synth but I have to drop it two stars until it is fixed for recording automations.

Unplayable on iPhone 12/Now Presets broke!
Update broke presets. Deleted/reloaded app. No change. Can no longer access presets on my iPhone 12. What lousy test. Really sad. //\\ And that’s the last straw. Universal app my tooshie. I have not bought an Apple app in months because of continued decay of quality and this is the last one. It won’t play in the background using it as a Universal App. Seriously? It won’t save state even upon exit. The developer zoomed in for the iPhone photos, that’s deceptive. The pamphlet is NOT a manual. This is pathetic and it’s taken as good quality. Well for the iPhone 12 it’s a joke and the end of Apple App purchases. It’s just a waste of money. Goodbye. Deleted app. Happy Trails.

You can scroll the UI to access the presets. Obviously, the bigger the screen the better the experience. I can’t magically make your iPhone bigger. You can contact me via email if you want help sorting out the issues you’re running into.
