Very racist, every time there’s a crime then only writes names of one community. We need names either on all crime news or no names at all.

I have been reading HT for the last 50+ years and am kind of addicted to it an cannot read any other newspaper. Even when I am out of the country digital one keeps me connected to India. Thank u HT for being my lifeline and my connect with my country.

Cannot turn off notifications
I am trying to turn off select notifications but they turn back on automatically. It’s frustrating so I deleted this app.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. To disable notifications, please follow these steps: Phone Settings > Apps > HT App > Toggle off “Push Notifications”. We hope this resolves your concern, and we’d truly appreciate it if you consider reinstalling the app.
Ads even on subscribing!!!!
I took subscription to avoid ads. But ads continue despite subscription. Very disappointed. Going to cancel the subscription soon.
Dictionary
It would be really very helpful if you provide built-in dictionary feature to navigate some unfamiliar words

Home Page still showing elections news
Hello,
Your home page still showing a lot of sections about elections when it’s been over a few weeks ago.
Also the option to contact you via the contact us button under settings doesn’t have the send button enabled

It seems it publish news which are there on Eenadu news paper
Shame on some of the Hindu news journalists which carries news which published in Eenadu which are directly supporting TDP party.
App Updates
Couple of issues:
1. City based updates on landing page don’t update for days or sometimes weeks.
2. Since 1/6/24 every few mins the user gets a app has been refreshed click to refresh or later modal.
3. Feedback within the app doesn’t work as the send button is disabled.

One of the WORST apps
I subscribe to paid version on iPhone 14 and am based in NCR.
Many old stories, sometimes more than a month old, are still showing under “your city” and do not refresh even after opening the current date link (I am based in NCR). Same is the case with some other titles. Pathetic!

I have purchased the premium subscription for HT however, the app has a small scree which makes the reading experience worst. Even after subscribing I am able to see advertisement.
You need to fix this.
Also for Economist does not have full subscription as there are limited articles which are displayed on the app. Hence, it is worth less and obliged
