Just the business!

A great app. Just what I was looking for. I’m MC for a big band, responsible for introducing each tune we play. I need to keep some brief notes on every tune (year/ composer/ famous recordings, etc). I can create a card for every tune in our repertoire and then reorder a smaller number for each individual gig. The facility to export to iCloud for safekeeping is a big bonus.

I have 2 questions: -
1) Is there a maximum number of Cards per Note? (hopefully not?, I’m currently up to 54 tunes with loads more still to add).
2) Is it possible to export the Note and Card data to another user, either via device or iCloud? (assuming they have the app?)

Messed up my presentation today

The app bugged out and I could accept several slides or go back. This was MID presentation. This did not look good for a professional presenting in front of 30 people…. A presenters worse nightmare.

Deleted!

Typed the whole speech for tomorrow. All of it! Finished, went back to the top and it the move up the page deleted all. Nothing left. All I did was go back up. This app has no safeguards, nothing.

Response from developer

Hi! Sorry to hear that. Can you please write me on fegur108@gmail.com the details? Did you swipe down the card with the text for single card? I hope that I understand your problem right. I fixed this behaviour in new 2.2 version, so it will save changes not cancel on swiping the view.

Delete on accident

Really nice app for presentation/speech notes - super simple to use. The only thing that probably needs a quick update is moving the delete button away from the edit button! Have to be super careful when editing, might accidentally click delete for the entire presentation ;)

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback! Good point, I have added a confirmation popover

Hintapp fail

Pinch and swipe features do not work in iPhone XR.

Response from developer

Hi! Please write me on fegur108@gmail.com. And we will try to figure it out, why it doesn’t work on your phone. On simulator of iPhone XR, and on real iPhone SE, 8, 12 everything goes well. Thank you in advance!

Great for workout routines

* Update: The day after I posted this review Fedor responded with instructions on how to go back one card on the watch. *

I use HintApp for my strength training routines. One tap on my watch to see the next set.

I do wish there was a way to go back one card on the watch app. [There is: just swipe left]

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback! You can go to previous card on the watch the same way as on the phone! Just swipe left (from right to left).

Great app Just needs a few quality of life improvements

This app is going to make presentation so much easier thanks.

My only advice would be to make it possible to present while holding the phone vertically not just horizontal. I've found the phone fits better in the hand while presenting this way.

Would also be nice to swipe right to go back and left to go forward as well as the tap. Took me a minute to get used to swiping left to go back. Just to make it consistent with most things of left forward right back.

Thanks for the app though you just solved a lot of my problems.

Worth it

Given a pack of cue cards in AUS averages around $5 anyhow, I’d say the convenience of purchasing once and being able to make multiple presentations on the one app is worth it. The black background and white text is easy to read, simple to go to the next card and there’s a timer bottom right to tell you how long your presentation is. I also liked that you can save it to iCloud. If anything went wrong, I’m happy I have the info backed up. No complaints, I also couldn’t find any similar alternatives on the App Store. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Annoyed

Doesn’t go to the next slide when I tap. Refund please.

Has possibilities

This has possibilities. Documentation is a little weak and it took a bit to get going.

Some thoughts
1. Rich text for the notes including links. First priority is a bold text for the first line. Sometimes we jump around.
2. Collapse the note list to the first line. This also helps jumping around.
3. Some presentations are question and answer sessions. It is nice to be able to skip to some prepared notes for a reply. It's possible now but facilitating this would be good.
4. This needs the ability to jump into and out the prompt mode from any given note in the note list screen.
5. When navigating the note list screen the notes should be locked so that we don't scroll every note individually.
6. It would be nice to be able to group notes under subheadings and collapse and expand the subheading as necessary.

Response from developer

Hi! Thanks for suggestions! I will try to implement them. But for some features I need clarification. Feel free to write any thoughts about the app on hintapp.notes@gmail.com

Great but...

Can we have the option for double tap to change to next slide, when transferring an iPad from hand to hand it can go back to the beginning

Response from developer

Hi! Thanks for the feedback! As I understand you want double-tap instead of single tap because you sometimes accidentally tap on the screen. Am I right? OK, I will add an option for it in program settings. You can write on hintapp.notes@gmail.com any other suggestions

Brilliant however not able to go to previous card

Really easy and efficient however on iPhone it’s not swiping to previous card so if I tap next card accidentally during presentation will very silly trying to go through all cue cards to find current spot

Response from developer

Hi! Thank you for the feedback! Swipe left (from right to left) to go to the previous card. It should work. But I will check again for all iPhone models

Cool app

Keep going!

For some reason, iCloud sync doesn’t work

I really need iCloud support. Please fix it!!

Response from developer

Hi! Thanks for the feedback! Check now please. I fixed the problem. It should work now ;)
