used to be short advertisements but now are too many and long and can’t even skip them..

Used to love, but now it reminds me to “Stay Connected” to people that are not in my birthday list
The recently added “Stay Connected” feature is super annoying. It pulls from people in my address book, NOT people in my birthday list. I really don’t want to Be reminded to Stay connected with my friend’s ex-boyfriend or that person with whom I no longer speak. And there isn’t a way to disable this feature.

A great reminder
I have been using this app for years and it has not disappoint me. It reminds me of all my friends and loved ones birthdays, anniversaries, etc. I like that it keeps all their pictures beside their names. I like that it gives you suggestions of what to say and able to add words to it. Nice card selections to send. You have the choice to select who the person’s is to you such as brother, sister, mother etc, if relation not named you can customize it. I’ve had this very birthday app for years. A touching part of this app is the “ Memorialize Contact” where Hip indicates love ones who passed way & will remove celebratory marks and have silent reminders about their events. Thank you Hip for that. I never had to change to another birthday app bc this one keeps updating with the new and improved.

I rarely bother to leave reviews but am so angry that I am reviewing this app. When I first had this app, I was happy using it with the few ads it had. I can accept that as I was using the free version. However now that they increased the number of ads and have made it almost impossible to close the ad even after it has played through, it is impossible to use at all. Within milliseconds an ad appears (before you get a chance to check any date) and you then have to wait ages, wade your way through to find how to get rid of it without being taken to the store to buy the advertised product before you can actually get to the birthday info on the app.
I am going to delete this app and recommend anyone looking at this without wanting to pay the expensive in app purchases - DON’T BOTHER.

basically nothing without paying
it lt me pick some b days from contacts which was nice, but then wouldn’t let me add any more because i reached my free limit ( i was at about 5 or 4 contacts) then it was making me pay a subscription to add any more which was about $20 a month.
Not worth it
Only lets you add 5 birthdays before wanting to charge you. Not a good deal in my opinion. No lifetime price either. I’m not looking for more subscriptions.

Declining quality
I’ve had this app for several years and it keeps getting worse. Mandatory ads that are sometimes impossible to close will pop up before you can access any information. Trying to scroll through your birthday listings can mean having to watch an ad. The intrusion of ads has ruined this app. Now looking for replacement for this app.

Ich verwende die App schon seit Jahren. Das räumt doch erheblich den normalen Kalender auf. So habe ich alle Geburtstage im Blick und mülle mir nicht den Kalender zu. Schön ist auch, dass man direkt eine Nachricht aus der App verschicken kann. Sprüche und gifs inklusive. Passt.

An app that was once great, is now full of ads the moment you open it.
Dear hip developers, you NEED to tone down the ads, the moment I open up the app EVERYTIME is a 30 second ad and even when you finish it, I move a little bit throughout the app and BOOM, ANOTHER AD. I’m about to move everything I built in this app to another app. Either change or I’m leaving. A 5 out of 5 star app is now a 1 out of 5 star app. Change how aggressive ads are or bye bye.
