I’ve been using this app for about 2 years now and it has helped a lot. I ove going out and around 12pm or 1pm I’m always looking for a spot before 7 or 9pm to have a spot for the day. I always find them about 3-4hours away from where Iam. It has worked out every time
Hidden Gem!
If I could give this place 6 or 7 stars I would! I had a wonderful experience staying at this property. The hosts were welcoming and incredibly responsive to any of my requests. The accommodations were clean and very well maintained. (The nicest restrooms I’ve ever seen at a campground) The property is peaceful and the views are beautiful. I’ve recommended them to friends and am already planning a return trip!

Good idea
Their darn messaging never works. I’ve redownloaded, updated, logged in and out on multiple occasions but you need to be able to communicate with hosts. Very frustrating
Great layout, some glitches
Takes several attempts to upload photos. On most of the features when you’re editing, to exit I need to shut down the app. The save button should close a window, but you have to cancel instead. Just some kinks that need to be ironed out.
Bad search
The app searches the wrong website for Idaho state parks so none of those work. You need to change the searched site for those. Idaho no longer uses reserveamerica.com.

Bad experience
I used the site for the first time and the last time. We paid top dollar for a site and found out that the property surrounding the site was also owned by the site owner, and it was very unkept. The site was not as it was pictured, and when I complained to Hipcamp, they were unhelpful. I posted a honest review of the site only to receive retaliation from the site host. Hipcamp also was not helpful when I complained about the host’s behavior.

Chaotic and not clear
The app is very chaotic and is not 100% clear on what each place has to offer as far as toilets and showers it’s not important for me but for my wife and kids it’s very important also the camps have different names on this app as to what Google maps and internet has for some not all

Overpriced
Over run with high dollar cabin rentals. Primitive camping is outrageous also. Very few primitive sites around 20 a night.

OK - but *can’t* save map options
You can find hipcamps ok. But adding map layers for dark sky, dump sites, etc, there’s *no way* to save what you want displayed and return to the map screen / home. FIX THIS!!
