Simple

So easy to use when you have a spare minute.
Quick toilet break, short bus or train ride, waiting in line for anything. Will improve your reading speed with little effort.
And it’s only a quid. Brilliant!

Good App

This is a nice, clean app. I like the various options to filter out flash cards. May I ask if a kanji option will become available at any point?

Perfect for learning!

This is the best flash card app I’ve found, you have all the hiragana and katakana symbol and they are not behind a paywall!

You can learn at you own pace and has helped me a lot with my Japanese class in college memorizing both charts!

Thank you so much for this app I use it all the time so I can master this portion of the alphabet!

Best Hiragana & Katakana flash cards

My favorite app for practicing Hiragana and Katakana. I recommend this app to my students learning Japanese. It has all the sets for basic lessons. Thank you!!

Favorite tool for learning

Downloaded this app to help practice what I’m learning in my Japanese lessons. The app is simple and easy to use with no clutter or distractions. This is my favorite thing about this app compared to other similar ones. Loving it!

Pretty good

So far exactly what I wanted. Would be nice to change the colors. If i could pick colors for the cards would be great. It hurts my eyes. If it wasn’t for that red I would give this 5 stars.

Loves Drills

This Ap does not provide audio which the app references as “voice”. How are you supposed to get the pronunciation without the audio. Doesn’t “voice” mean audio or sound????

Thank you for your feedback. “Voiced” refers to voiced consonant sounds (ka → ga, ta → da, etc.) which are indicated by the dakuten (“) marker. I plan to add audio pronunciations to the app in the future, but apologies if there was any confusion about current audio functionality.

Really awesome app, saves so much time not having to make paper flash cards!

I did notice that the hirigana for “wo” is actually listed as being “o” so that should probably be fixed

That’s the only error I’ve noticed and otherwise it’s great! (And that’s why it’s 4 stars and not 5)

Thank you so much for the positive review! を is commonly pronounced “o” without the “w-“. However, I can see room for confusion without any explanation so I’ll plan on adding more clarity in the next update.

Just random

Not only it randomly shows hirgana and katakana, it will bring in the ones you explicitly say remove from deck. Not helping with the learning really. I regret this choice.

Thanks for the feedback. Extensive testing has been done before releasing the app to ensure these types of bugs aren’t present. Please double check your deck settings as randomization is a default feature and the same sounds can be present in both the Hiragana and Katakana decks.

Concise, no wifi

All that needs to be said is that its perfect for practise. Kanji and sentences could further its use.

Great for laying a foundation

This is a well made, easy to use flash card app for studying hiragana and katakana.

5 stars for usability and usefulness.

My only recommendation would be to add a more in-depth menu and allow the user options both for sequential cards rather than a random order, as well as the option to include/exclude specific characters from a deck, rather than having to shuffle through and remove unnecessary cards each time the deck is reset.

This is the best app for hiragana I have ever used. I'm honestly surprised that you don't have to pay for the app..unless I haven't checked all the features yet haha :)

Wonderful app, super helpful

I am currently in Japanese 101 at my university, and making notecards and having them for my spare time was incredibly hard for me to do. This has helped so much, it is exactly what i was looking for!
