Terrible
I have not even been able to use this app. Two times I have downloaded it and BEEN CHARGED TWICE for the subscription and it still tells me in the app that I do not have a subscription. Ridiculous!
Good concept but slow
The app is super slow for me and the kids. Very frustrating.
Great concept but super slow to load
Having a difficult time getting the job board to load. I’ve tried wifi and cellular data, without much luck at all.
My Review
My little sister struggled with her shyness in public places, but once I put her on to this app, within 6 months she is able to be herself, is confident, and is able to make friends easily! 100% recommend for those who have kids whom lack in confidence and low self-esteem.

Great concept but so slow to load/transition
This app is great. Has everything we need to track chores. Why is it so slow? My kids would almost rather not get paid to do chores than to deal with the app.
Scammy subscription
Was really looking forward to this one, looked a lot of fun. Expertly hides the fact that you need a $7.99 subscription to do anything until after you’ve created an account. Felt scammy enough to warrant an insta-delete.

Please look into extra servers or something. Every action takes a long time. Makes it harder to get buy in.

Love the idea, frustratingly slow app
We are trying to like this app - it’s a great idea, however it’s just a bit too slow to be useful.

UPDATE!!!!
Turns out there was a server crash which was the result of below. It was resolved with in 24hrs. I reached out to HFK and they got back to me with in hours!! Fantastic support!

I was just in the process of having my kids work with the app and getting chores done. When I got home and attempted to approve some chores, the app said “poor connection or intermittent issue. Try again”. All jobs and users were lost. I have since logged out and now not able to log in. Using my pass phrase and user name I get a “log in error”
Turns out there was a server crash which was the result of below. It was resolved with in 24hrs. I reached out to HFK and they got back to me with in hours!! Fantastic support!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Hire and Fire Your Kids APP!!
My daughter is 11 and getting her to help around the house has been gruelling! She much prefers to be on her laptop and doesn’t give much thought to household responsibilities and chores. UNTIL NOW! I showed her the Hire and Fire Your Kids APP and she was suddenly raring to go! She spent an hour reading through jobs and asking me to add in other jobs. And she started doing them that same night. She loves being able to click the jobs as COMPLETED and see her earnings go up! And as a parent it’s not just about having help around the house it is about seeing the pride in my child’s eyes when she has accomplished a task and sees the earnings for it. The day before payday she goes into the app and looks for more jobs to do! LOL. She is working towards boarding a horse and this Hire and Fire Your Kids app is giving her motivation and inspiration to work towards her big goal. As a parent I absolutely love this app and highly recommend it to parents!!

Loved it and then…
This app was great .. until suddenly we can no longer check of the chores that have been completed. This just messed up everything ! Hope it gets fixed or me and my kids won’t be impressed
Amazing but not particularly blind friendly
This app and the concept sounds amazing and I would absolutely love to try it. But as a blind parent who relies on voiceover on my technology I am unable to. The app is not optimize to work with voiceover. I cannot even sign up because of this. this common problem with apps causes blind parents or parents with blind or visually impaired children or blind people in general to be excluded. I hope the developers can fix this problem soon as I really would love to try the game with my family.

Poorly build
Jobs duplicates. When tried to reset it locks a particular job out. Confusing warning with poor tracking layout

I don’t usually write reviews, but I absolutely love the concept of this app. And I sat down with my kids and told them all about it and they are also happily on board! All in all, it’s a terrific app!
I would like to see the following adjustments if possible.
- I would like to see an option to assign jobs on multiple days of the week. For instance- Sweep on M, W, F. The option now is only for 1 day or Every Single Day.
- I would like for rewards to be more customizable.
Instead of preset amounts on a drop down, I would like to be able to free write the amount. Additionally, I would like to see an option for a weekly allowance VS pay per task per instance.
- I would like for Job Assignments to be made more permanent. The option to offer a customizable specified amount of time the position will last. Or the option to make a permanent position until someone is either Fired or a change is requested.
The following are some suggestions that I think might enhance the experience.
- Maybe add the option for a RAISE and the option for Promotion. These can either be offered by the parent or requested by the child, but need the final acceptance of the child and approval of the parent. This can motivate children to do their absolute best at their job. It will teach them that hard work and perseverance pays off. And it can inspire them to aspire for more.
- Another cool idea that would be empowering to the children might be to give them an option to quit and resign. A child who quits on the spot wouldn’t be rewarded for any UNDONE work that pay period and would have to apply for a new position to start on the following pay period. A child who resigns can choose a reason from a drop down or free write a short resignation statement and the resignation will be in effect on the last day of that pay period.

It works
4 weeks in and my girls are still excited about doing chores. And it’s little to no work on my part! I went with the suggested wages even though I thought they were high, but it’s cheaper than a housekeeper and it’s enough to motivate the kids. With this app, I feel like a super dad!
Wow
This is crazy, saw it on dragons den and had to try it! Was severely disappointed though. It only caused my family to become more distanced. Arguments rang out throughout the house constantly as my kids ran out of chores and wanted more. i couldn’t pay enough so i couldn’t give anymore. my wife is yelling at me for trying this out. one star i can’t believe what has happened

Waste of my time
So much easier to just talk to your kids and assign chores. Couldn’t see the list of what they’ve actually done all in one place and I don’t have the time to interview the kids every day to find out if they’ve actually done what they’ve signed up for. Even my kids thought it was a waste of time.
