What's New in Historic Weather
3.1.0
October 15, 2026
WHAT THE MONTH WAS LIKE One line above the calendar now says it: "Hottest July day in 34 years", "Driest May in 12 years", or "A typical September", with the hottest day, coldest night, rain days and strongest gust beneath. Compared against that place's own 1991–2020 average. NO MORE "FETCH" The month loads as soon as you have chosen a place, and again when you change the month or the measure. Search finds places as you type. THE WHOLE DAY Tap a year on the date screen, or a day in the month, to see that whole day: the high and low, rain, wind and sunshine, hour by hour, and how it ranks against the same date in every year since 1940. THE ODDS FOR A DATE Above the years: how often the date was wet, the usual range, and the records with their years. Or pick a span of up to two weeks and see it year by year. DAILY OPENS ON TODAY The date screen starts on today's date, loads all ten years at once, and shows wind as well as rain and temperature. Buttons jump to Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and other dates. IN YOUR UNITS Fahrenheit, inches and miles per hour, or Celsius, millimetres and metres per second. Set by your region, changeable in Settings. SHARE IT Share a month or a day as a picture, shaped for Stories or for posts, or save it to Photos. YOUR PLACES Places you have looked up sit under the search, one tap away. Pin the ones you come back to. ALSO The app opens faster, has a new icon, and draws a dry day as 0 rather than leaving it blank.
