Thank you so much SamJai7! Might not feel like a big thing for you – but every nice rating and review warms a developers heart. See you in Krono! Daniel @ Krono
Fun but not free
The games are great but would be way better if even you could play like 3 a day or something for free and then purchase for unlimited for example
Allow tickets to recharge after a certain period instead of forcing players to purchase subscriptions or more tickets when it’s advertised as free to play. It’s basically a trailer as a game
Response from developer
Hi Robtopcat! Thank you for the feedback — glad you find the games great! Just to clarify a few things: the Daily Challenge is completely free to play every single day, no tickets or subscription needed. New players also receive 20 free tickets to try out the other game modes — so there's quite a bit of free play available from the start. As a solo indie developer, I've made a conscious choice to keep Krono completely ad-free. I really dislike ads in games, and while they can make things feel "free," you end up paying with your attention and privacy instead. That's a trade-off I didn't want to make for my players. If you do want unlimited play beyond the Daily Challenge, the subscription is priced to be very affordable — and there's also a lifetime purchase option that's cheaper than most board games you'd buy in a store, with the added bonus that Krono is constantly updated with new questions and content. That said, I hear you — and I'm actually looking into a way to let players replenish tickets without needing a subscription. So stay tuned! I appreciate the honest feedback though — it sounds like I need to do a better job communicating what's included for free. Thanks for playing! All the best, Daniel @ Krono
US oriented
Response from developer
Hi King_Charly! Thank you for the feedback. It’s true that when it comes to music and movies, Krono can lean more American — I think that’s somewhat inevitable given the global dominance of Hollywood and the US music industry. That said, the majority of our history questions actually have a strong focus on European and British history. I always want to have more diversity so I’ll definetly work on having a better balance of questions from all over the world. And if anything, you might notice a slight Swedish bias sneaking in here and there — perks/symptom of having a Swedish creator (me)! 😄 As for the inaccuracies you found — I take that very seriously. I’d really appreciate it if you could send them to hi@kronotrivia.com so I can get them corrected. Thanks again for giving Krono a try! All the best, Daniel @ Krono

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback! You raise a good point about ads - it's definitely a common model in many apps today. I chose a different path with Krono. As an independent developer making this trivia game, I wanted to create an experience completely free from ads and tracking. While watching ads for free play might seem convenient, it usually means trading your privacy and personal data instead of money. Krono is designed to be privacy-focused - we don't track you or sell your data. The Daily Challenge is always free, and for unlimited play across all modes, it's just $2/month (cancellable anytime). I believe this is a fair price that helps keep Krono running while respecting your privacy. I'm working on this passion project as a solo developer, competing against much bigger companies in the trivia space. Every subscription truly helps support our small indie game's future development. I appreciate you giving Krono a try and sharing your thoughts. It helps me understand what players value and expect. Kindest regards, Daniel @ Krono

Jeu qualitatif

/Daniel @ Krono
Great Fun (but so very humbling)
Excellent Game!

Hi Parentof3Terrors! You know when a sometimes you have a slump and you start thinking “what’s the point really…”? In my case I have these thoughts from time to time when it comes to Krono. It’s hard getting traction and have people notice your game (and labor of love). But then you get this kind of review and THATS why I’m doing this. You made my day with your review and this is exactly what I wanted with Krono: having players comeback for a short time everyday and also hopefully learn something new or spark a curiosity around an event, invention or person. Thanks for the review, hope you’re doing well and see you in Krono! /Daniel - Parent of 2 Terrors
Interesting and fun
Response from developer
Thanks for the kind words Grizzlefur! Really glad you're having the same interesting experience as we do when we stumble upon certain events and persons. The Daily Challenge is once per day and meant to be something you can play quickly and then go about your day, and that's free to play everyday. As a new player you get 10 free tickets that you can use for 10 games anytime you like. If you want to continue after that the cheapest way would be to start a monthly subscription (it's pretty cheap!) and you can play as much as you'd like during that month. In the settings we have a shortcut to where you manage your subscriptions so canceling the subscription is just a few easy taps away. Or if you don't like subscriptions there's a one time payment option that's cheaper then say purchasing a physical board game. Best part: Krono will continue to update and the board game won't. Anyways. We are super thrilled about your review and rating – thank you so much! All the best, Daniel @ Krono

Not great

Hi incohontas! I’m sorry you don’t like Krono. The site is basically just a description of Krono and a link to the App Store. I’d love to hear more about your experience of Krono, you can email me at hi@kronotrivia.com. I sure would like the feedback to make Krono (and the website) better. Also sad to hear that you think the daily challenge update time is annoying. My intention is to have the challenge go live at the same time for every player globally. So I had to choose a time. I choose noon Swedish time. Krono is developed here in Stockholm, Sweden. I’d love to hear from you via email and perhaps you can try Krono again; and you might enjoy it and hopefully update your review and rating. Wish you a great week, Daniel @ Krono
Cannot be played without paying first
Response from developer
Hi bobDowns! The daily challenge, the big section at the top of the “Play”-screen is free to play everyday. I guess you must have missed it and I hope you give Krono another try! The Daily Challenge is the main focus of Krono and will always be free to play. It’s meant to take 30 seconds or so and hopefully a player will learn something new and come back tomorrow and play again. All other games modes are for those who want to continue playing some more.
Falls victim to the subscription model
Response from developer
Hi Tom! Thanks for the review! I know a subscription model isn't always the most attractive model for players; that's why there's also a lifetime/one-time purchase option to choose from under "View plans". I know subscriptions isn't always the most attractive model for players but for small indie developers it could mean a more steady income that helps with development and planning. I do hope though that you come back for the daily challenge that are available for free every day and perhaps try Krono a month. We've made it especially easy to cancel your subscription with a shortcut in settings right into where you manage your Apple subscriptions! Wish you all the best and a fantastic week! /Daniel @ Krono
