Good gameplay, but the "Star-up" system ruins the experience!
The overall game concept and mechanics are fine, but the 'Star-up' system is incredibly frustrating and completely outdated.
Here are the major issues that need immediate fixing:
Extremely Slow Upgrades: Starring up players takes an absurd amount of time. For example, doing a 3rd or 4th star-up for a 4-star player takes an entire week!
Players Become Unavailable: The most illogical part is that the player is completely locked and cannot be used in matches during this entire week-long upgrade process.
Outdated Mechanics: In modern gaming, merging or starring up characters is almost always an instant action. Locking away a player's best assets for 7 days is just bad game design and kills the pacing.

Rigged and Cash grab game
This game is completely rigged. The gameplay experience has gone downwards in the past few months. Moreover they don’t honor the purchases made in the app as per what was advertised by them. I have mailed them multiple times from August 1st. But no response and resolution till date. I finally took the credit card dispute route. They are only interested in taking your money and nothing else. And also don’t ever think you can compete in this game without spending money. This game is designed as a pure cash grab machine to fool customers. If you love cricket games, stay away from this and keep your peace of mind.

FIX YOUR APP
Stuck in a loop when being forced to play PVP saying there is a problem with the internet, there isn’t! No way to avoid it so haven’t been able to play for days. Such a shame, game play is good but doesn’t matter if you can’t play it for more than 5 mins!

Useless Game Stats Logic
I have maxed my players but my batsmen miss even on 80+ as well and my opponent who has low stats than me still hits almost 20+ per over. Can’t understand the logic. If it happens a few times, it’s understandable but it’s happening almost every game. I don’t know what logic has been written but at least game should behave according to stats logic. If my player is 60, 70 or 80+ on shot probability then sometimes, it’s acceptable that it falls on no hit percent but like full over it’s landing , that’s confusing

Waste of money
I have spent so money to buy players, training points to upgrade them but the players just don’t perform at all. They cannot score runs and get out cheaply against bowlers with low rating. High rated bowlers also get smashed easily.
Consistently matched with stronger teams. Rigged Game.
Good game but as a free tier you are not going to win after a certain level. You will hit a wall and will not be able to upgrade the players without paying. They say that if you don’t buy *optional* updates it won’t impact the game play - that’s a lie. If you are at the top of weekly chart, you cannot win the following week and you will consistently lose. At the end it’s rigged so you are forced to pay. Used to be a good game at some point of time! This is how people stop playing these games because they get frustrated!

I have been playing Hitwicket since 2024. I spent thousands of rupees on this game, including purchasing the ₹1000 Season Pass every month, and spent years building my team one player at a time.
Sadly, I regret every rupee I spent.
Ranked matchmaking is terrible. My Level 85–89 team is constantly matched against Level 100 teams, making months of hard work meaningless.
The game is also full of technical problems:
Server disconnects during matches.
Random freezing.
Mobile overheating.
Poor optimization.
Even 90% chance shots miss at crucial moments, making the gameplay feel frustrating instead of rewarding.
Every month, new players with overpowered traits are released for ₹3,000, ₹5,000, ₹10,000, and even ₹15,000. Instead of fixing the game's major issues, it feels like the developers have become more focused on monetization than on improving the player experience.
In my experience, if you don't keep spending money, progression becomes painfully slow and it's difficult to play more than a handful of meaningful matches each day.
I have cancelled my subscription and requested that my account be permanently deleted.
Warning to new players: Read the recent reviews carefully before downloading this game or spending any money. There are many games that provide a fairer experience and better value. I wish I had known this before investing my time and money.
