Worst Update
The new update is not working well, not accepting any OPT.
“Invalid code entered, please enter it again.”
If it’s invalid code why did you sent it to my email?
Can’t login
Second worst part
It’s a app it must stay logged in but no in disconnect every 3 days to a week hardly.
Why am I using app ? So I stay logged in otherwise I can delete it and open a url in my browser and save information there.
Update - will not load now
App stopped working
Better than the rest
•The Hive mining pool
•the zero-fee incentive to use their pool
•the rich Hive forum (one member helped me over the course of 2 months to get my OC setting right)
•the various tweaks
•the plethora of customization options for cards/miners/pools/algorithms
•the iOS app that lets you remotely control and monitor your rig
•the fact that you can boot the whole OS from a disk image on a pendrive onto a fresh mining-specific motherboard
The bad:
•small learning curve (like 2-3 months if you have a full time job)
•can’t think of anything else
Loved HiveOS while I was mining. Really wish I still had my rig but I sold it so I could focus on other projects. I’m not a autist but I found mining to be fun. It’s a challenge but only just enough of a challenge to be interesting without needing a degree in Comp-Sci. HiveOS made this possible to do as a hobby with no background in programming.
Update
Must have for mining
Keep up the good work guys
Cheers 🍺 🍻 🍺
Incredible
Reading my review after even more HiveOS use, I’ve realized there is a glaring mistake that may have unfortunately misled potential users, and I am updating my review in an attempt to atone for my failure. So, with that, a fifth and final star now adorns my review. Are there some frustrations at times? Sure. Is the app perfect? No. Does it do what it needs to? 100% Yes. I would type “Yes” 100 times, but that would just be silly and I kind of regret even suggesting I would consider doing so.

Original Review:
Let me begin by saying I am rating this app based on functionality. If I were rating based solely on the feature to price ratio, it would only get 5 stars because 6 stars isn’t an option. My experience with Hive OS has been such that it would take a profoundly better OS for me to even consider switching. I am also rating the app alone. Hive OS is really great, particularly because it is free for 1-rig miners of any pool and (I believe) for 3-rig miners who choose to mine the HiveON pool. It has its quirks and isn’t perfect, but it allows for a far less work-intensive mining setup, and a big part of that ease-of-use is the Hive OS app. I mined with Windows for quite a while before making the switch to Hive OS, hoping for less of a headache, and I wasn’t disappointed. Once the initial setup is done, your rigs configured, and all settings figured out, managing rigs becomes effortless. Open the app, select your farm, then select your rig and see all of your GPUs (and ASICs, I assume - I don’t have any) and hardware info. GPU model, memory manufacturer and type, VBIOS info, clocks for core, memory, voltages for VDDC, VDDCI, MVDD, temps wherever sensors are available in the cards, fan speeds, hashrates, core states, CPU temp and load, power usage estimates…the list goes on. Want to open up a console window for remote control of the Linux system itself? Go for it. Remote updates, reboots, shutdown & wake alarms, flight sheets to control miners and OCs for individual algos, the ability to flash VBIOS… This is all free. The only reason I’m giving a 4 star rating is because there are a couple controls that haven’t made it to the app as of this review, and the api goes down seemingly often (once every few days) and there are times it stays down for long enough that it becomes a frustration. Now, the rigs still mine and work as they should, but there have been times where I notice a worker on a pool is showing an abnormally low hashrate, so I want to investigate and possibly restart the miner/reboot the rig but am unable due to the app (and web service) not connecting because the api is down. Not a huge deal, but frustrating nonetheless.
