Once we can communicate the bees will be better off and the planet, this is my first year. Well, I’ve been doing it a month over a year there are times when I really need guidance once we can communicate it’s a game changer for the beast.
Good app, a little buggy
It’s great for quick inspections and record keeping. The automatic weather is fantastic and saves a ton of time. My only complaint is that the date and time inputs / scrolls appear like white text on a white background so I’m just guessing when I pick data and time and have to adjust it repeatedly to get close to where I want it.

Very hard to use
I found it difficult to use. I’m an established beekeeper and all I want to do is make notes of observations about colonies. I’ve got 10 hives and it won’t “duplicate” the first one. My inspections may be different from the ideal, but I still want to make notes. Grr There is no help! When I finally stumbled across how to make multiple hives, I get a validation error - the app hangs until I reboot my iPhone. Sigh.

For observations, there are two primary options: our Inspection record or a Journal Entry. Just tap the big yellow button in the navigation menu, and it will give you several options. Please reach out to us. We're happy to help.
Not a good start.
Won’t go past the second page. I want to continue with Apple. Won’t let me.
Not User Friendly
This app is very cluggy, It wouldn’t allow me to enter data after the fact and change dates. Downloaded at the recommendation of Bee Keeping for Dummies and I was a dummy.
Working amazing
Helping me become a better keeper. I like that you can add a to-do task to a specific hive
Great way to keep track of personal hives
The app is pretty easy to use and it helps me keep track of each hive. It would be great if I could print a report. But that’s not a feature yet.

Wish to have recording feature
I love HiveTracks, but it would have been more convenient if they offer the video recording/voice recording features.
They lost years of my data.
I’m frustrated that after using hive tracks as my journal and for my master beekeeping program, they lost all of my data. I’ve been in contact with the company for months. At first they reassured me I would get all of my inspection data and notes back and now they’ve gone silent and haven’t reestablished my data. If you choose to use this app, be sure you are keeping duplicate records. I’ll have to restart my journals and this has greatly impacted my master beekeeping candidacy.

Not for SE users
I’d love to use this but was informed six months ago that there’s a known bug for iPhone SE users. I can’t even open the app.
Wonderful app
This app is the best I’ve used so far. It’s very simple and easy. I definitely recommend it for all beekeepers
Hive options
Would be nice if you could add layens hive as an option with the layens information
Great App
Great app. Ease of use. Just wish the had QR code.
Data lost
A fellow beekeeper told me about this app, but I’ve had nothing but trouble with it. Half the time it doesn’t record my inputs, and today, it seems to have forgotten who I am. I’m not re-entering my apiary information and will go back to the manual way of tracking hive checks. Good idea- poor execution.

Love this app
One of the best apps out there, but please add a weather related tab. I have another app on here, but that one tells me whether it’s a good time to do inspections on it. Please add something similar to this app and it would be perfect.
Best kept secret!
I’ve tried to keep detailed notes of my hives inspections in a variety of ways for years. Recently stumbled across this app and truly feel like it is the best kept secret as far as keeping detailed notes for each of your yards and each of your hives. Highly advise to give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Awesome sauce
Just started getting into beekeeping, about to buy a Flow Hive 2+ with some Italian bees, this app will be very helpful. Y’all should add some kind of feature to help keep track of like economic stuff to help keep track of profit of selling honey and stuff like that if that makes sense Yk? You get the idea. Pretty cool. Some more community features would be great too. Also maybe some way to like connect the app to some smart thermometer or other stuff like that to monitor the hive from the app. Tiny cameras too? Anyway yeah you get the idea. I’m Sam.
