Big improvement
I use this app regularly and find it indispensable to getting around Hong Kong. It makes communication for me much easier since I don’t know any canto. And you can go cash free!

Maintenance anyone?
Is anyone maintaining this anymore? It is very slow, hasn’t had any enhancements in 2 years (?!?!?!?) and crashes regularly. It’s still the best / only real option in HK but common - make at least a little bit of effort. It takes 10-15 seconds to load on a brand new iPhone. Also, drivers shouldn’t be allowed to use the app without gps on.

Useless for rural users
This app is really difficult to use for rural users as that’s the only real reason to use this app to request certain taxis. There is no incentive for the taxi drivers to go to your location and fulfil your ride request.
I wasn’t able to get a taxi on this app despite several orders whereas I had multiple successes with Uber. I only tried using this app as was requesting a specific car

Handy
Very handy to have especially as not fluent in Cantonese. However haven’t been able to download the app onto my phone screen. Have to open the App Store each time to order a taxi- not the end of the world but less convenient
Impossible to get taxi without adding money upfront
Matching taxis is nearly impossible without bribing yourself a higher rank. Same as Didi where drivers just wait for desperate clients to start adding money. Function should be removed to align with ethical services like Uber and Grab.

Has a bug when you request a taxi it will often say no connection - then it will in the background order a taxi - you then need to open the side taxi request pane to see if it’s actually ordered or not…
This can result in multiple orders being generated at the same time - a touch annoying!

Unable to use without HK phone
Why is HK phone number required to register? It is useless for visitor
Better than Uber
Better than Uber in Hong Kong, and quite often cheaper. There is an option to make cashless payment which is great
Over charge
This is my second time used this app, first one had a very good experience, driver are nice and the fare was charged exactly as stated when I placed the order, however this time it really piss me off , he over charged me as it was shown, and charged me two small bags which I put it into the trunk , that cost me 12 dollars for ten minutes drive plus service charge , so the original quote 27 dollars became 46 dollars, what a ripoff. I am g to delete this app right a way, so watch out some bad drivers, I did report to the company but she said nothing wrong with because the traffic jam but it was 11am no traffic at all. Beware the individual drivers “ bad apples”

Need to allow for International Number Registration
For an international city. The app should also allow foreigners and tourists to enter their mobile number from their home countries as many visitors now choose to do international roaming. As for myself if I want to book a taxi I need to use Uber to book a taxi in Hong Kong instead of using your app.

Worst app to fuel drivers greediness
You can never get a cab unless you choose to add an additional tip of 30HKD or above. Can only dream to get a cab without tipping. Outrageous and robs people when they’re at need.
Price is meaningless on the app, drivers are scammers here
Better not to use this app, if you pay with cash, “English-speaking” driver won’t know a word, double price without a reason and won’t arrive at the correct spot. Customer support is non-existent. Use Uber, not this scammers.
Fails right when you need it
The app/backend has frequently required extended long load times to spin up when you need it the kost. - not the hardware, because that happened on the 14 pro max when it is the fastest available; neither the network conditions; hecause it was tested on wifi and 2 different 5G connections.

Excellent Service
The driver call back is awesome and I feel safe and secure at all times
Convenient especially during COVID pandemic
I received a Network Error while using this app twice in the past few days. Each time I checked recent orders, it was empty until a taxi picked up my order. Then I would have one picked up order and a second order in progress. I just cancel the order in progress and all is fine. Not sure if this is related to a recent app update.
I’ve been using this app for several years. Overall, I love this app. Especially during the pandemic when people worry about handling cash that may be be tainted with the virus. I also don’t have to check whether I have enough cash or carry around odd change.
I’m usually careful not to hail a taxi since I want to pay via the HK Taxi app and not every taxi driver may use it. Recently my spouse hailed one while I was still opening the app. Luckily, our taxi uses the app, so I used the Pay for Street Hail option. It was super easy and fast! Thanks for such a great app and very good whatsapp support.

Driver location maps removed.
After HKTaxi was bought by Uber, they removed the driver location maps for no apparent reason. Bring back the map, and this app gets five stars.

Taxi had advertised app inside with stickers etc but when it came to pay using the app the taxi driver said he couldn’t accept .
