Arabic feels do-able again!
After pausing Arabic classes in Amman to have a baby, I’m finally able to return to working on learning the language of my new home. This app is amazing for sitting in a rocking chair with a baby in my lap! Thank you for putting together such a great resource. تسلمي يا قلبي

I’ve studied fusha for years but had never been able to get the hang of spoken Arabic - this app has helped me SO much! With other language apps it’s like you’re talking to AI robots but with Hob learning I actually feel like I’m learning from real people!

Original: Love the concept of this app as well as the team behind it! A few things that could make it even better because I want this to fully replace Duolingo! The Home Screen widgets were how I always tracked my streak with Duo, and I’ve noticed that the Hob Learning widget does not automatically refresh each day, you have to open the app to get the widget the change. Even better though would be a streak counter widget, that would be most optimal!

Finally a Hob app!!
I love this team and the content that they had on their website. Now that there’s an app, I am way more consistent in studying with it. One thing I wish they would add is the ability to let the videos play even if you minimize the app. The fact that they use human staff and not AI is so much better than Duo or any other language learning app — they’re the only ones. Shukran!!!

Excellent tool for learning!
I’m British based in the US and married to an Arab Levantine speaking man. My family speaks Urdu so I wanted to use the few common words and being able to at least read Arabic as a launchpad for my learning. I couple this app with using pre-ply to have a tutor based in Palestine. This app is fantastic for independent learning. The courses with Hana and spouse are my favorite. Such clear direction and excellent skills as teachers. Of course Sofia the co creator have infectious positive energy which is motivating. And paired with her hubby they make an amazing team. I found them on IG and since becoming social media free now use their app & mainly website for their paid subscription for regular weekly learning. If you are serious about it and consistent everything you need is provided via Hob Learning. I’m learning for my toddler and baby and my progress is visible with my in-laws! I can do it, YOU can do it. The monthly fee is WORTH it

Great App!
The app is filled with tons of tools and features that make learning Levantine Arabic easier than most language learning apps! I feel like I’m learning the day to day type of Arabic rather than the textbook version!

Best way of learning Arabic! I’ve tried so many apps and courses and they’re just so overwhelming, I love the bite sized videos that are easy to digest and immediately applicable to real life and also the flash cards with audio and vocab lists with audio etc that make it fun and easy to review!

I’ve tried many resources for learning Arabic over the years and this app is a total game changer for learning everyday spoken Arabic. It’s off to a great start providing accessible language instruction in a dialect that has no good Duolingo-style digital resources.

Best Levantine Arabic App
My family is Jordanian and I grew up in America, so my Arabic is not great. I know some things, but not a whole lot. I love this app so much, I feel like there’s a perfect amount of real world conversations and puts things into context for me. The videos and vocabulary help me build my own real life conversations. Thank you to Hob for creating this beautiful app to help me come home, and embrace our beautiful language and culture! 🇯🇴

American married to a Jordanian
Admittedly when I first tried to learn Arabic I gravitated to Duolingo as I thought it would provide a fun way to learn a very hard language. Found quickly that it did not adequately provide me with the language abilities I was hoping for. Started learning MSA with a tutor in my area which was great but I wanted to focus more on Jordanian Arabic so I could understand and chat with my husband’s family. I found Hob learning and was amazed by what they had done. Fares and Sophia and the rest of their team have created a platform that is informative, interactive, and easy use. I am excited to learn and progress through each of the course. Would highly recommend!

This app is the best! I continue to impress my in-laws with how much I can understand! The app is so much more than vocabulary - I am learning language patterns in Arabic, culture, and so much more! Thank you for making such a great resource!
The only app actually teaches you Arabic
Rejoicing that this exists!!!! Other apps do not compare - they just teach you random vocabulary with zero context. This has everything you need in a clear, accessible, and fun format. The content is beautifully made. If you actually want to learn Arabic, try this out. I’ve already put so much of what I’ve used to work with my girlfriend’s family and she’s so happy!

I have tried numerous language apps in the past and this one is the best I have ever seen. The material is presented in a great order to learn and maintain but also keep it interesting. There are hundreds of flashcards and you can customize your own sets from the video vocabulary lists. I have made more progress in my Arabic in the last week of using this app than I have in 700 days of Duolingo (yes I just hit that streak). I highly recommend this app!

Great app, works as good as you can imagine the web version could work on a mobile form factor. I love the word of the day and I love being able to go through all the lessons seamlessly
