Bought the iSteady Pro 4 expecting advertised features like auto 360° spin and Sports mode. My unit only has firmware 2.000 and these features don’t work at all. Hohem advertises new functions even on older units, but support ignores all messages. Feels like they sell marketing, not reality. Absolutely disappointed and would never buy

Where are my videos?!
I recorded many videos with this app and suddenly they are missing from my phone. They’re never saved automatically to the gallery, but this app shows them in IT’S LIBRARY but when I select to view the apps gallery, the app Crashes! EVERYTIME! Someone out there on Hohem’s staff has my media and I want it!

This is by far the only thing I've ever wanted to return and get my money back. I was so hyped when i first bought it and then the app never worked ever. So disappointed more than anything. I still have it no wants to buy it

Won’t recognize my IPhone 15 Pro
I keep trying and no luck. The App won’t connect to my phone. I’ve followed the tips not to have the phone connect to the app, but have the app connect, and it still won’t work!!

This is a love and hate kind of relationship with this app. What works good works Great but what doesn’t work is what I hate about it. There is 2 apps with the same name but they have the opposite problems. Hopefully some updates will make it happen 👍😅
Hohem app for iSteady Pro4
Works well, but the motion lapse feature loses all your waypoints upon completion of the task. If you want to run it again you must re-enter all the waypoints again. Time consuming and annoying.
Run away (this is garbage)
The functionality of this app is misleading and baseline at best. You Will not find any remote control functions because the app is all about facial recognition functions which are finicky and practically useless. Any other company’s gimbal phone app will provide a remote control function. This gimbal, this app is advertising but not delivering. As far as the gimbal go’s, any other brands will yield better results. Hohem has NO business selling any product under a “pro” banner. They don’t make any real pro models. cheap parts, basic functions to mask the lack of Pro features. Pro features like, remote monitoring remote control, fixed positioning, and let’s not forget that these products are just an attempt to recreate successful products made by companies that actually develop these devices. This company brings nothing to the table but bad knockoffs. And still manages to be unable to deliver a functional product.

Drains phone battery
Recorded my sons basketball game and the app drained the battery. I looked up the battery history and it took 48% of my battery strength. Big disappointment especially when recording longer games. Also takes forever to save videos so I miss out on plays.

Bottom line: I LOVE IT! I’ve been in television production for over 30 years. Have a lot of experience with camera support equipment. I have this app. and gimbal, and use it personally and professionally with my cell phone. It does what it says it does. It’s very easy and convenient. It works very well. The features are easy and helpful as well. I honestly don’t understand why others have rated it so low. I use it. It’s easy. Very handy. I highly RECOMMEND this app and gimbal to anyone, for pro or home movies!

Broken on IOS
Moon allow you to do motion labs with time greater than 30 seconds. The other time options are grayed out, which makes the gimbal unusable for my purposes.
App simple, reliable, and full featured.
Works well controlling the gimbal, allows for controlled point programmed movements, great for timlapse and controlled camera motion filming, the pro version has expanded timelapse function, as well as other features. Well worth the 17$ investment.

Love the device but not this app
I cannot use this app with the iSteady Pro action camera. This is the app that the instructions (for the device) tells me to download and use.
I cannot update the firmware of my device because the issue with this app. I cannot use half the awesome features because the app won’t update my firmware.
