About

Holdover turns your rifle, load, and today's conditions into predicted corrections you can dial. Build a profile once and get a drop table you can read at a glance: bullet drop at every distance, the correction in MOA or MIL, and the corresponding turret clicks for your optic. CONFIRM YOUR ZERO, DON'T GUESS IT Shoot a group, then tap where the shots landed. Holdover finds the center and tells you how many clicks to turn and which direction. Every session is saved, so you can see how a rifle has held up across the season. CONDITIONS THAT ACTUALLY MATTER Enter elevation, temperature, pressure, humidity, and wind, then see how the predicted trajectory changes. Set wind on a clock face, the way you already think about it, with left and right marked so there is never a question which way to hold. DOPE CARDS FOR THE FIELD Generate a card for any rifle, stamped with the conditions it assumes, and keep it on your phone or print it for your kit. Holdover needs no signal, so it works at the back of a canyon exactly as well as it does at home. A LIBRARY YOU WON'T OUTGROW Search almost 900 factory loads across 70 calibers, plus more than 280 component bullets for handloaders. Holdover distinguishes lab-measured, manufacturer-published, estimated, and user-entered ballistic data so you know what is behind each profile. You can also enter any load manually, including its bullet, velocity, ballistic coefficient, powder, charge weight, and notes. BUILT FOR THE RANGE Dark from edge to edge, with large numbers and high contrast for bright sun. Field Mode pins brightness and keeps the screen awake. Setup is mostly tapping, and the main tools stay one-handed. WHAT'S UNDER IT Holdover uses a point-mass solver with fourth-order Runge-Kutta integration, standard G1 and G7 drag models, humidity-corrected air density, spin drift, and Coriolis. The implementation is checked against independent standard-model references under matched inputs. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No network. No subscription. No analytics leave your phone. Your rifles, zeros, and usage data stay on your device and can be exported any time. Holdover predicts a trajectory from the numbers you provide. Real impacts differ: muzzle velocity varies between barrels and ammunition lots, published ballistic coefficients are approximations, and conditions change through the day. Always confirm your zero and holds on paper at known distances before relying on this data. You are responsible for safe firearm handling and following all applicable laws and hunting regulations.
