Best writing on the App Store

I’ve loved the vampire games these guys made and decided to take a stab at one of their originals. As someone who hopes to make it playing this game was a deeply emotional experience. Please for the love of anything support these guys and play this beautiful game.

I’m not crying, you’re crying

Played this game for a laugh, it took me and my boyfriend a month to finish it. We spent beautiful evenings together reading out loud and making decisions in the game. Maybe it’s because we’re both in the film industry, but by the end we were in tears. Can’t wait to play again.

AMAZING

This game is overall very well thought out. I enjoyed every second and it’s a splendid time killer! I really can’t think of anything negative to say about it. :)

Crashing

App keeps randomly crashing over and over again. A really good app that got ruined by bugs 👎🏾

Dissapointed

To begin with I was super excited to play this so I downloaded it and when it loaded up it was AWESOME the options were creative and fun but it all went down hill when I had to start worrying about relationships which really weren't that important to me but it seemed like that was all the game cared about also why the heck is this game so obsessed with communism it would of made a good side plot but come on this isn't why I bought the game plus when my movie won the oscar I didn't get to see the aftermath of basically anything which just left me saying is this it?

Incredible

One of my absolute favorites. I know I’ve replayed this more than any other Choice of Game game!

One of my Favorites

I've bought and played almost all of the games available from Choice of Games, but this has to be one of my absolute favorites. I love the vintage feel of Hollywood that the story takes place in. The characters are memorable and the storyline flows well. I only regret that there's so few endings; either you leave town or have your work recognized much later on. With the way those endings play out I believe that a sequel would add much more to the storyline.

Compelling concept and excellent variety of choices!

Very enjoyable interactive story.

Disappointing

Hollywood Visionary looks really good at the beginning. All the options for customizing your protagonist are great, and the tensions of making a great movie vs. having a personal life vs. getting enough leisure time so as not to become a stressed-out wreck of a person are very compelling.

You make so many decisions throughout the game, you think you're in control of your destiny and your choices matter. They do not. The quality of your movie is but an afterthought towards the end of the game; the game stops being about Hollywood and movies and becomes about a congressional witch hunt for Communists.

I wish I was kidding; I'm as opposed to Communism as a person can be, and yet the game turns into this awful, boring, unfair trial to determine whether you're a Communist or not, and ultimately you're presented with the choice of either sacrificing an innocent acquaintance of yours to this witch hunt, or sacrificing yourself.

The ending is terrible and mostly nothing you do during the fun parts of the game matters. Looks great at the start, but then drops the ball, trips on it and breaks its neck. Very disappointing.

One of the best

This is one of my favorite stories in the CoG universe. It's not the longest one, but it's definitely long enough to allow multiple replays with completely different pathways. It's not perfect and I still haven't been able to figure out how to complete a couple achievements despite trying every option. But it's definitely up there with Choice of Romance as one of the top CoG offerings to date.

Really enjoyable, if a little short

Really well written, great story, the only negative for me is that it didn't last longer. I would have liked the chance to experience more of it, but what little is there is fantastic!

Awesome endings

Did not get the "best" ending the first time around, but it felt exactly right for the story I had been making. Really easy to identify with the lead character. I probably played this one three or four times altogether.

Don't buy

Not worth the money

Complex

Good mix of interactive and fixed plot elements. Choices always seem to have faceted consequences which is great. :) price is higher than a few of the other games but it's worth it

Quality game

This game is somewhat stressful to play, almost every choice made gives the sense of possible failure just around the corner, which the game used to its benefit. The game is a little buggy but overall solid.

Amazing

This game is great. Every little decision does affect you later on the game. Definite buy.

It's Good

But, sometimes it flips out and I have to start over.

Love love love!

This is by far one of my favorite Choice of Games adventures. It's challenging and engaging. Totally worth the money because there are so many paths you can take.

Good story but not much choices

As always I was one of the first to jump on this one as it was released, the story is good but the choices do not have as great of an impact as one May hope. Overall worth the money.

Good.

Not my favorite CoG, but it is pretty enjoyable. The story is smooth and consistent, and though some plot lines are set in stone, unlike some others, I felt like my decisions really were effecting the story. I'd easily recommend it to anyone a fan of CoGs.
