Save as wallpaper

Nice app, but would be better if i can use it as a wallpaper.

Response from developer

Thanks Dwyane! At the moment it wouldn't be technically possible to use HoloSnaps as a wallpaper - but we are working on an update that will allow you to share your creations.

Holo Snaps

Good Apps would be nice if only can save to photo library ! Please update!

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback - we're working on a free major update to HoloSnaps coming this year.

Outstanding!!!

Great app! Creative, fun and easy to use.

Response from developer

Thanks for your early feedback on the first version of our app. We have updates coming to it later this year.

Mildly Amusing

But why is it a 'holo" snap?
It has nothing to do with holograms.
Merely views 3 pics with camera rotation.
Not a complete waste but not much either.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. We understand what you mean by the name and we are considering a rename of the app for the next major update.

Not bad but buggy.

This is but one more gadget in an ever increasingly large number uf useless iphone trinkets. Overall not a bad trinket. I like it.

First, it's not a hologram, it is a lenticular-like image. (lenticular: google it.) It takes 3 images and quickly fades one into the other by tilting your phone.

Second, the "take picture" function is buggy as hell. That company really needs QA. I never could get it to work for even one photo. Work-around: take and edit your own 3 photos BEFORE you start the app and importing them. (I like using a short action sequence like blowing a kiss.)

Next I would really like to be able to send my completed image set to friends. U can't do that.

Lastly what's up with all those "translators" in the credits? Odd thing to list. Was it originally in German or French? Or maybe it was translated from fortran 4!

Absolutely Amazing

Great interface, cool effects, reasonable price!

Impressed

This is a nice way to show 3 pics in 1 frame !

Good start to a fun little gadget

Fun little photo gadget. Clean and original look and feel. It crashed a few times on me, though. And the little icon showing instructions for tilting yhe iPhone, after you select "preview," don't need to be there after the first 1 or 2 times you use it. And it needs more features, particularly the ability to share finished HoloSnaps with friends.

Lots of Fun

So easy to use! Great way to show a sequence of pics.

awesome!!!

yeah bad rating is from people that haven't really gotten around to tryin' to make a first pic..
basically you need 3 photos that look similar just like a ruler hologramish moving thing.. it works on tilt hence 3 pics (left tilt, no tilt, right tilt) but the app program's done really well! I have to say.

and.. no.. it will not transform your flat scratch resistant iPod Touch or iPhone LCD into a riged surface LoL..
but the look of tge rudges are created by the vertical lines and adds a nice finishing touch. the tilt change is a great idea :)

I asked for a new icon you came through  what more can I say 

Awsome!

More frames please. PS 2nd time submitting review. I hope this goes through. Worth the money!

For Lenticular Fans....

I rarely submit reviews but this app was done so well I just had to. This is a great illusion that takes the accelerometer to achieve. Would like to see an option to turn off sound.

Creative photo app

I have many photo apps but this one is different and wonderful, besides being intuitive and easy. I own the other software this developer has out (a Mac Alarm Clock named Awaken) which is also excellent. So I know the developer will continue to fine tune and improve an already excellent app.
For those curious - you take 3 pictures from your photo roll or camera and the app slices them together and uses the accelerometer to make a magic picture. So besides people and scenes I can see doing signs and sayings etc or 3 frame animation.

Update- I hadn't noticed bugs but the update has some minor improvements. My kids like to pose for these pics. Still fun.

Cool!!

Wow! You HAVE to appreciate the subtle details put into this. It works EXACTLY like a lenticular photo. Including the vertical stripes and off-color fading you get with a real one. Incredible job on this guys.

Oh, it AMAZES me the morons that review products sometimes. Doesn't make a "real one"!!?? Are you kidding me!? REEEAAALLLY... Not a real holo/lenticular huh. Really.... Are you serious?? On another, it does the "opposite" of what you thought it would do?? What did you think it would do?... NOT work?? ... and it did?? Wow. There are a lot of "slow" people out there. They shouldn't even own an iPhone. Seriously.

GREAT APP. If you want to make a
Fun and obviously "fake" lenticular photo, this app rocks!!

This is pretty cool..

You should give better details in the description it does the exact opposite of what I thought it did... It's pretty cool still though.

Not As Cool As It Sounds

I saw someone gushing over this app in a review so since it was cheap I decided to give it a try. First off it does not create holograms. All it does is cycle between images, which is not impressive at all. The only good side is that the app is well written and seemed free of bugs. I can't recommend this app at all because it just does not do anything cool. The images don't look any cooler nor does it really give any type of Holo effect.

holo snaps

Works great, but we should be able to put it as a wallpaper

Danger

I just downloaded this App, took my first picture and clicked download. The download started and then the indicator stopped. It moved a couple of bars and then stopped again. A couple more bars and it stopped again. So, I hit the home key and my phone froze. So frozen, in fact, that I had to reset it three times before I could even receive incoming calls. The idea is seductive, but until the implementation is debugged, open at your own risk.
