I only wanted to have a desktop notification when a Ring doorbell is pressed. Even though the app claims support for Ring, there's no way to trigger on a doorbell press. On top of that, this seemingly simple notification costs $4 per month.

Doesn’t work.
Installed the app and it couldn’t connect to my services or when it did, there were no devices found.
GREAT APP
I CAN MONITOR ALL 5 OF MY RING CAMERAS ON ONE SCREEN.

myQ is supposed to be supported, but I couldn’t get it to log into my account.

MyQ intentionally blocked 3rd party support in October for most vendors, which unfortunately includes Home Alerts. We reached out to them to resolve but have not heard back. This is has been upsetting to the entire smart home community, as it’s another step back in the interoperability that we all desire. We do course apologize for the inconvenience and will let you know if anything changes.

Great Concept
Great concept but out of all the smart devices I have the only one this app supports is MyQ. No Reolink, no Yale, and of course if you wnat to use Google it's ANOTHER subscription. Now I can't event delete the account I created. I'll pass.

Thanks for giving Home Alerts a try! Good news, Yale will be added this month as part of the free tier! Google now requires a 3rd party security assessment $$$, so unfortunately I cannot afford to include in the free tier. Deleting an account can be done via “My Account”.
Not Perfect
Originally wanted to connect to my Garage Door, then found that my Ring Camera System was listed in devices. Long story short... Garage works... Ring doesn't. At least I can cancel the required subscription for Ring before I start paying for a service that doesn't work on this APP!

so far works great and from what i previous remember changes mean also home security changes hopefully this will give us our piece of mind!
Not working
I got this to be able to view my cameras at home when im away. I had to upgrade to add my cameras, then it wanted me to upgrade again just to view my cameras but the app won't let me upgrade again it says err. There us no number or email address to get developer support.

Google Nest account migration killed Home Alerts
Ever since the Google Nest account migration to the Google account I haven’t been able to access the Home Alerts app... what gives???

Not useful
It’s just annoying. It keeps emailing me to say the battery life is low. It’s a hard-wired Nest Protect.
Horrible app. Unable to stop alerts. Very buggy. No useful functionality
