Each game remembers your choice separately: chess on expert and mancala on easy is perfectly fine. The opponents are measured, not guessed. Thousands of games were simulated for each duel so that a level means what it says: on "Easy" you usually win, on "Expert" you have to play well – but you can win. An opponent who never loses is not an opponent. EVERY PUZZLE IS SOLVABLE No sudoku, ball-sort or FreeCell deal is handed out before a solver has played it through.
