Doesn’t do a thing, iOS 26 this isn’t compatible yet still can assist attackers not stop them lol. They’ve disabled the box before then disabled the modem via the hns box.
Home Network Security
I have many of Trend Micro Apps and like all of them! Home Network Security is great too and very helpful BUT it is time to UPDATE this App ASAP… By not updating, it looks like Trend Micro has lost interest in this product, please update, ASAP, okay 👍🏻
Does not protect kids from sexual content
Had this for several years it worked well but only last year really started to find issues not able to block sexual inappropriate content where as before everything was blocked . Not sure what happened . They dropped the ball. . Even google images was not blocked and not blurred even if on highest setting . When tested as an adult was able to access any popular adult sites and was not blocking it at all .Spent days trying to fix it with tech support .After waiting +6 months to wait for them to fix it . I and even replacing the router that came with it twice . Still they could not fix the problem. I finally so frustrated and requested a refund and received a credit . Spent month trying to use the software to protect my kids and no outcome with a resolution .

Great system
Great system and the different modes are great. Hoping for a new update soon to enhance the systems. Those giving low ratings obviously have not turned on all the features. Giving 3 stars because the app isn’t updated with protection updates regularly as it should be since it is a security feature.

Does not enforce limited on websites or internet use
I have the same issue as the user 3 years ago. I will not be renewing the licence as the product does not do what it claims to - limit use of internet on sites such as YouTube.
I have done what was suggested by the developer and it still does not work. My kids are still able to access YouTube after their set limit has been reached. The only option I have is to manually pause their internet but then I get the howls that they need it for other sites for school.

Trend Micro Home Security
I have been locked out of my own WiFi, the toggle in my app settings for my iPhone is on that allows me to join. But in my iPhone’s settings my Wifi will not allow me to join. Trend Micro notification comes on and says not allowed to join.

Recognizes my devices but blocks the internet for all. I can’t even set it up because it’s blocking my internet

App Doesn’t Identify Most Devices
The app doesn’t tell you what most devices are like they say it does on their webpage. It only identifies well known brands and devices. Like brother printers and Philips hue.
You use it to identify unknown connections but it doesn’t achieve this.

Trouble connecting and using Trend Micro (TM)
Nice concept but very finicky and difficult to connect. TM Unit scanned the Internet and devices on my local network but let in two devices that I could not identify and could not remove using tools provided. They were not my devices. Using my Linksys router control program did not show these devices on my network as if the Trend Micro device had a back door connection ( hopefully not).
The unit blocks all my connections to the Internet at my EA8500 Linksys router connected to a Spectrum HiSpeed modem regardless of changes to all router / modem settings. Disconnecting the True Micro instantly. The Internet came alive immediately.
Disconnected the device and deleted the TM control program shredding the software as well as removing entries from the PC registry and all browser caches for safety.

IPS works well
I am very pleased with this so far. I was excited to see my traffic routing through the device. Also was good to see if blocking know malicious attacks. All in all this is good.
I only have two suggestions:
1. When using the DHCP mode give the users the ability to allow reservation of devices.
2. Add some traffic analysts to the data upload and download statics. I.e when viewing a device uploaded what were the top 10 names/or IPs that data upload went to broken down to the bandwidth usage for the top 10.

Does not block detected devices from your network
I wanted a firewall that would protect my network from being hacked. I plugged the firewall device in, scanned for my devices (I only had one device connected to Wi-Fi) and went to bed. The next day, I saw that the firewall had detected a device (which was not mine) and allowed this device to connect to my internet network.
The unknown detected device had used 6.7 gigabytes of data with a few hours before I saw it and blocked it. Next, my internet connection speed became so slow that pages on the internet would not load. I spent hours trying to solve the slow internet connection problem. Finally, I unplugged the Trend Micro firewall device and was able to use the internet again.
This is a great concept, but the device needs improvement.

there should be a windows version of trend micro guardian embedded and a wifi lock system where it can be locked to 1 wifi network it the device is on a another network the app should notify that it is on another wifi or connected to another network then i will give 5 stars and recommend to family memnwrs

Hopeless
Constantly loses connection with my modem and doesn’t reconnect so I have to physically go and unplug it to reconnect. The internet is always available when it does this. The number of times I have rung support - waste of time. Will be disconnecting it. Don’t see why it can’t reconnect without being unplugged or rebooting my entire network.

I can’t even use the product. I have several other trendmicro products and a user account. The ap will not recognize my username and password even though I can see the account via laptop on my trendmicro account
Works
It works, had a problem with it not liking my Bose soundtouch boxes but that was cleared up. Had a problem with the disconnects, called support, they worked on it, it took a couple of days but it is stable now. This is not a VPN, it is an IOT FW...
Doesn’t block websites
I have had this app for 2 years. I got it so I could restrict the internet for my kids while they were studying. They were happy for it to be installed so they could stop getting distracted and wanted to be more productive with their time at their desks. However, no matter what way I try and block the basics such as Facebook, Instagram and you tube etc they are still able to access these on their laptops. I feel like it is a complete waste of money or an expensive antivirus blocker.
