Big upgrade from previous for Garmin devices.
I had bought awesome golf previously because this app just was not good enough, with the new updates for the R10, it has completely changed everything about how I play golf on my sim. Courses are incredibly detailed and it’s honestly my fav software to play on out of all of the other big names out there. Super happy that Garmin extended this update to us R10 peeps! Can’t recommend it enough!

Need to get rid of the +3 and make options for putting. Give the distance to the hole , so I can put on my putting green. Otherwise it is a fun app
App keeps freezing
The app keeps freezing and i have to manually quit and go back into the app every swing

Cant enjoy a seamless experience because the app freezes every single hole - was totally fine before they separated it from the Garmin Golf App.

Can’t make it through two holes without the app bugging out or freezing
Keep trying to play different course both local to me and well known courses across the country like Augusta and pebble beach and no matter what I’ll make it usually to the 3-4 shot of the round and it just bugs out and I have to restart it. Might as well just cancel the 30 day trial and start paying for awesome golf if I can’t even go 5 shots on a range or 3-4 shots into a round before the whole app bugs out and freezes

This has helped my golf game immensely… that being said yall should make the app for the Apple TV would work great with it!
Not for R10
This app is awful on R10. It captures the first shot of the hole and ignores the next 10. If I switch back over to Garmin Golf, it works (mostly) fine. This is outdoors using real balls. No way this is worth $99 / year.

A lot of freezing issues
Picked up a r10 yesterday and was very excited to try it out. I’m still getting used to it. I love the potential of the Home Tee app, even for previewing rounds at local courses. But the app freezes… a lot. While using the r10 it freezes. While just clicking through a course, it freezes. Once that’s resolved, this will be one stellar app for the launch monitor. Meanwhile the range on the standard Garmin Golf app works flawlessly, so far. One suggestion, I’d love to be able to review the simulated round after on the app using the same Shot Maps as the Golf app to get an idea of how the sim round might prepare me for the real thing if I play a course ahead of time as a preview. Shot Maps could be a good indicator to review what good or bad misses might produce on the course. Also, would LOVE to sync my CT10 sensors with the app so it knows what club I’m playing. Seems that would be a benefit to the hardware/software developers to know the club vs. attack angle, dynamic loft, launch angle, etc. in relation to the club selections.

Latest updates broke the app
This app used to work great. Now it is insanely buggy and pretty much unusable. Video stops after your first shot although the game continues. Have to restart it each hole. Then get a black screen. Doesn’t work anymore.
Please revert to your earlier versions. Can’t believe I pay for this right now. Unacceptable product on Garmin’s end.

Continuously locks up
New iOS update broke it?
I am not sure what happened but I can’t play hometown hero anymore. It freezes every time I load and hit a shot. So frustrating. I want my subscription money back!
Won’t work on iPad
Previous app worked fine. Now with this update I can no longer play home tee hero. I paid for the year and now can’t use. My iPad OS is up to date but only goes to 16, this app requires you to have a newer iPad that has os 18.
Awesome app
This app is very good. If you have garmin products for golfing it’s a no brainer. One thing I would LOVE is if you could play like a best ball game. Like a 2V2 best ball would be amazing improvement. Overall this app is awesome, doesn’t have the best graphics, but overall it’s perfect for a at home simulator

Gray dot on my app
Disappointed that there is a large gray dot in the middle of my fairway

Love love love the app update. Think it’s great. Fantastic home simulator experience.
But…
No ability to set a scramble and choose teams…
No ability to fix drop location on a penalty ball. So a lot of the time if you hit in water then the ball is dropped on edge angled down into the water. Overly frustrating we have no ability to pick ball up and drop properly.
Enhanced courses aren’t what I thought they’d be from garmin. No beautiful flowers at Augusta…. The hole beauty of the place. No clubhouse either.
Should also be an ability to turn crowds on or off this would truly enhance courses and that feeling you are there for real.
It’s Garmin. They have the ability to put homes and things on every course or the clubhouses that make the course look true to life they just don’t.
But it’s still 5 stars… why? Price, accuracy of reads are okay, and ultimately it’s an okay and functional decently graphic home simulator. Never expected GS Pro like graphics from it.
But man would I like to drop my call after a water shot somewhere decent.

Great app for great price
But!!! It needs to update their physics to match Awesome Golf. There’s zero backspin in this game and some shots can be wonky. But overall it’s fun to play
