Disappointing

This game is a half baked mess. The story really goes nowhere, and the gameplay itself is just monotonous and boring. There are much better games in the App Store that achieve the mystery and atmosphere that this game is shooting for but, sadly, does not attain.

Anticlimactic

I like puzzle, horror, and pixel games and was pretty excited about Home. An hour and a half later, I’m wishing I didn’t spend my money on it. The story is at its most interesting about halfway through, before taking a random, confusing, and uninspired turn at the end. The way that the story ends leaves you with no answers and not enough curiosity or investment to go looking. It feels like the plot of the game was never actually decided, so it goes in a dozen different directions- not in an exciting, choose-your-own-adventure way, but in a way that drains all emotion from the story. Since there’s nothing in the way of a concrete storyline, there’s nothing for the player get attached to or curious about. I think I know what the developers were going for, but the game is just...flat.

Perfection

Loved every minute, Benjamin’s games seem right up my street, looking forward to what else he has to offer, a huge thumbs up 👍

Creepy story filled with mystery

It’s a straightforward game with a not so straightforward story. There’s lots to interpret and it leaves you to decide for yourself what happened. It’s nicely unsettling.

I’m a fan of pixel art so I think it looks cool, too.

Play it in a dark basement or in a dingy alley for maximum effect.

Non starter

Double tapping does absolutely nothing on my iPad. I can move the character, shine the torch about but that is about it . Wasted time trying to get answers from developers but got nowhere. Buy at your own risk.

What the heck are you expecting?

Definitely worth the price of admission for a unique and thought provoking game. For all the haters out there I suggest you put your phones down and create your own original game from scratch to show us all how it’s done.

Fizzles.

Not really a horror or a puzzler. The atmosphere this game promises to have before you buy it is sadly the most fun you’ll have. Essentially, the character only interacts with himself to build a somewhat variable story of no consequence. At best, a good concept that falls flat.

It’s bad

Bad it’s not scary or really original. controls are wierd and can’t open doors

Interesting but too creative for its own good (mild spoilers)

Home is a good game conceptually but spins too wide and open of a web to really capture my imagination. At the end you are left with essentially no reward for everything you did other than more confusion. I suppose their is a literary style that this is based on but the best authors like Poe still manage to capture your imagination, your horror, your mind and give you the finish. So in the end you are left with just your thoughts here instead. And there is no possible story which fits all the variables provided within. Please continue to write though. The App Store needs more unique tales like this. One suggestion to the player: definitely try and dedicate time to this start to finish. A lot gets lost if you play it 30 mins at a time. Good luck!

Great try, but misses the mark

It was a lot of aimless searching/discovery and I never felt truly invested enough to care. I typically like games that offer a different approach, but this left a lot to be desired.

I encourage the developer to keep at it, but I do regret making this purchase.

Sad to mad

The intro sounds good, I’d like to play this game but I am not getting results when I tap on places, I guess my finger is not doing it right, its frustrating, he just walks back and forth.
HELP ???

Definitely worth it

I would love to see a sequel to this game. I love games like this that are mysterious and pixelated

Amazing psychological horror game

And good on you dev for the continued support and updates! I can tell you it’s ALWAYS extra appreciated to see classics like this still getting updates to improve the gaming experience years later

Subtle Amazement

Not sure of what to expect, I put on the headphones, sat in the dark with black light and my wine, and started this up. Absolutely worth it. I didn’t stop until I finished it. A few years later I decided I had to give it another go. This is a game where storytelling, ambience, and the possibilities of changing the horrible events of our lives can be so simply and beautifully expressed in pixels. 10 out of 5.

Awesome!

The only problem I’m running into is it keeps freezing and I can’t go past the rusty ladder under water. Anyway to fix it freezing?

Game freezing

My game keeps freezing in the sewers just after I go through the exit door. I can read the description of the ladder but not click on the arrow to go on with the game....
Please help.

Atmospheric, but a waste of time

This game is great at creating a creepy mood but ultimately doesn't deliver a story. Your character has amnesia (never a good sign) and through a series of yes/no questions you sort of determine what the 'ending' is. There's no ending to speak of though, and despite setting up an elaborate scenario you never really find out what's going on.

It's very retro-slick but it's all style, no substance - and indeed the game becomes inexcusably repetitive and predictable for such a short game.

Broken

Completely broken on iPhone 6 iOS 11. Not even 10 minutes in and the game freezes on a text dialogue that is impossible to get around.

Feels like playing ms dos game 1980 on my 286 computer
