HomePeek is a tool to monitor and log what is going on in your smart home network—as long as it’s based on Apple’s HomeKit. Gain insights in all your home accessories’ doings. Review reports on how your automations performed. Share logs. Find out which lights were switched on at a given point in time. Troubleshoot and optimize your Smart Home, and learn! HomePeek shows you a torrent of communications, going on in your HomeKit network. You can save the log for later inspection. HomePeek will even log when it’s in the background (i. e. not the active application), although you can switch that off because it can put a strain on the battery. HomePeek will also give you a hierarchical list of all your home accessories in all your rooms, and all information it can reap, like Software and Firmware versions, serial numbers, vendor information etc. Digging deep, you can even control your devices, like changing the hue and saturation of a lamp. (While this is a nice gimmick, HomePeek isn’t meant to be a home control app.) All in all, HomePeek will give you an insight of the inner workings of your Smart Home. HomePeek runs on iPhone and iPad.
