They are manipulative, and unresponsive. They will try you for whatever they can get even if it’s legally questionable or unethical. Put in the legwork and rent from a proper landlord
Only suitable for 3-month lease!
HomeRoom property management is only suitable for people just moved into a new place and want a affordable place to live for temporary reasons. My recommendation is to only take in 3-month lease, and use this 3-month time to find reliable roommates and move to a better place to live. The property will rip you off in anyway possible, trust me.

Scammed me into an 18 month lease
When I inquired about renting with HomeRoom I specifically asked for a 6 month lease and was told that was the lease they were sending me to sign. Being as though I’m extremely busy I signed and moved in without looking at the period of time the lease was actually written for. When I questioned it I was told too late I already signed and am obligated to pay for 18 months. They recently changed the pricing model with notice on aug 27th that it would change beginning September 1st. I’m telling everyone I know to keep them from suffering the same fate. RENTERS BEWARE!!!!
