New Insights screen in My Home: an activity heatmap showing when your home is busy, events over time, your most active devices and rooms, each light's total on-time, and recent door and lock activity with how long things stayed open. Pick a 24 hour, 7 day, or 30 day window. HomeSnap now estimates how long each battery will last (like 'about 3 weeks') from its recent history, shown in the Batteries list and on every device's page. Estimates only appear when there is enough data to give a reliable estimate. New temperature alerts: set a low or high threshold and get told when any device crosses it, like a freeze warning for pipes. Temperature charts now show the low, average, and high for the range, and both battery and temperature history can be exported as CSV. New Setup Codes vault in My Home: save your HomeKit and Matter setup codes so you can re-pair a device after a reset or on a new phone. Scan a code (beta) or type it in, link it to a device, and view it later as a scannable QR or a large, readable number with tap-to-copy. Your codes are stored in your own private iCloud, so they come back after you reinstall HomeSnap or set up a new device, they stay private to you, and the vault shows its sync status so you know they are safely backed up. It opens even before a home is set up, and codes export as a printable PDF or Markdown. A new Health section points out possible issues to tidy up: empty scenes, automations that cannot run, and duplicate device, room, or scene names, with a badge showing the count. HomeSnap only reports them; you fix anything you want in the Apple Home app, and tapping any item jumps straight to it. My Home is reorganized: rooms, accessories, automations, and scenes each open their own screen instead of expanding in place, and a new Utilities group collects Batteries, Temperatures, Health, Setup Codes, and Insights. Compare any two snapshots to see exactly what changed between them, search the Snapshots list and your setup codes, and filter the Timeline by category. New quiet hours: pick a window like 10 PM to 7 AM and HomeSnap holds its notifications while still recording everything in your history.
