It’s really easy for me to order tacos while on the go. Or if the line is long; I sit down order and out the door.
You pay just to use the app
We pay for their convenience. You don’t see it until you pay then there is a charge and when you press the info button as to what this is. It says convince for for using the app. What’s the point of using app for rewards when they eat them up with fees.

This app is a nightmare. There are too many glitches to be able to pinpoint just one problem. Even the new app. Terrible job by the app developers. The restaurants and food and staff are awesome across the board.
why?
this app is not user friendly, and appears to be more or less broken. i cannot sign in with my old account and therefore my points are gone. why change the app?
the 5% "rewards" is equal to the 5% "technology partner fee" to use the app.
the fine print is this app is just a way to launder 5% fee on your order into the private equity company that has taken part ownership of homestate.

The app: Works. They gave me $5 instantly and rolled over my rewards from the previous app. I’ve no doubt it’ll work once I order.
The company: My town of Altadena burnt down a year ago. Breezy, her husband, her sisters and the Homestate team were there as soon as the smoke cleared. They were giving hugs, food, diapers, wipes, water, clothes, literally anything they could to help us out. Homestate partnered with World Central Kitchen and kept us fed for weeks - 3 meals a day - no questions asked - until we were able to get clean running water, our gas turned back on and back into the neighborhood for next steps. The food is good. They do lots of charitable actions regularly. I will sing their praises forever, because when I didn’t know what to do, Breezy gave us a place to cry, commune, collect ourselves, and rebuild. Bless you, HS :)
