Casual Honks A Honk is a quick combination of an emoji and a sound, sent directly to a friend. It is built for low-friction moments when a full message feels unnecessary — from a playful nudge to a fast “I’m here” or “wake up.” Flocks Flocks are owner-led broadcast channels for direct, noise-free updates. Use them to keep a household in sync, run a creator community, share links and announcements, or publish structured Signals that are fast to send and easy to understand. Flock owners can also remove previously sent posts, keeping the feed clean and current. Branded Flocks for approved creators and brands Honk 1.2 adds branded Flocks with approved custom identity assets, branded link icons, and brand-scoped approved domains. That makes it possible to run a Flock with a stronger visual identity while keeping the platform’s approval and link-safety rules intact. Built for creators and developers Honk 1.2 expands Flocks for developer communities with GitHub and GitLab social/link support, a dedicated developer Signal set, and webhook-powered publishing that can turn repository activity into Flock updates. GitHub and GitLab webhook events can now publish mapped Signals into approved Flocks, with event details such as actor, branch, and title shown in the expanded feed preview.
