Good Idea, But…
Confusing interface. Sent out a false sos the first time I used it. Not impressed.
Cant get past the “verify your number” page
When I try to press submit, the page does nothing but freeze. I’ve tried re-opening the page and re-downloading the app, but nothing is working

I love this app!! As a mother to a soon to be college female I feel so much better knowing she will have this on her phone. I love it too for me as well but it is invaluable as a female college student.
Safety is important
What a great app if you are going out to meet someone new for coffee or a drink! You don’t have to be nervous about how to let a friend or family member know you don’t feel safe. I recommend this for anyone that is going to a party or date alone.
Piece of mind
Having two kids away at college keeps me up at night worrying about their safety. This app brings me some piece of mind, that if something god forbid does happen, I’m not the last to find out.
Peace of mind
This app is so simple to use. It makes me feel safe when walking downtown at night and during the day. I love having the peace of mind that hooot is in my pocket!
Puts my mind at rest
Just knowing that my friends can know what’s going on with me at any time is super helpful! And it’s not intrusive like some other apps. It’s very easy to set up and has a great user interface. The creators put some serious thought into this one!
Extra measure or Safety!!
HOOOT is an invaluable app. This app works very easily alerting someone on my list that I am in need. All I have to do is say their name and my location is shared along with a message. As a woman and mother safety is number one priority. I only wish it was around when my kids were in college. It would have given me some peace of mind.

Feel super comfortable and safe
I’m a young girl in college and ever since I downloaded this app I’ve felt a lot safer walking around campus. I’ve also just felt safer in general because I have gotten in the habit of turning on hooot even when I go to the grocery store or take my dog for a walk. It’s super simple and efficient!
Peace of mind
I downloaded this app not expecting much but was very surprised by the peace of mind that comes along with using it! Great app and perfect for helping yourself or others feel safe in a social environment. 10/10
I FINALLY FEEL SAFE
I am a tweeker. It’s okay I admit it. Everything is so scary. Wait am I typing right now or is this a dream. This is what I mean. Constant tweek. But wait where am I. No no Im okay. I have hooot app. It is good everything is okay. In any situation I can set up the app so it will recognize a code word an alert my friends that I am in trouble or in my case tweeking. There is something very settling about this. I know a few girls who have also used it while going out to a bar and they said it makes them a lot safer. I definitely think it’s an app that can really help maintain safety of college kids. Definitely download.

the safe word feature is amazing
the ability to just verbalize a safe word is an amazing feature and makes me feel much more comfortable than any other app that tries to accomplish what hooot is doing! thank you
