Fun but manipulative
I enjoyed Hoop Stack at first and moved through early levels very quickly. However, I reached a level that, after extensive attempts, had no solvable path under the game’s own rules. There were no legal moves available, undo reset the entire level instead of undoing a step, and progression appeared to require skipping or watching ads.
Challenging puzzles are great — unsolvable ones are not. When progress depends on monetization rather than logic, it stops being a puzzle game. I ultimately deleted the app.

Very focus driven activity.
Waste of money
Anyone know how to get a refund on the no ads? I downloaded this for my son and I purchased the “no ads” and every two seconds he comes running back with another ad up. I thought it was him so I watched what he was doing. EVERY time he finished a level, a 15-20 sec ad popped up and we couldn’t skip for atleast 10 seconds. If I purchase “no ads” I expect NO ADS. Total waste of money.

Very repetitive, not worth buying
I bought this app just to get rid of the ads, which are brutally invasive.
But guess what? There's still ads, just on every fifth level instead of every one.

Also, the levels repeat. There are only about 20 different patterns, so once I had them solved, the game wasn't fun anymore.

Ads galore
Just like every other game this app has been completely taken over by ads. Ads that you can’t skip for 10+ seconds and then it takes you to the App Store after and you have to exit out of it twice. It never used to be like this!!! I even turned off my cellular data for the app and still get ads every other level. Stupid.

Good !! But stressful !!
I loved this game !! Played it every morning after chess club, however some levels pushed my button. I ended up throwing the bishop at my friend Suzie, she doesn’t talk to me anymore. Shame !! But still - love the game.

Ridiculous amounts of ads
This is actually a fun game except for ALL THE FREAKING ADS!!!!!! SO IRRITATING!!!! RUINS THE GAME!! I keep trying to go back and play but as soon as I do there are the NUMEROUS ADS!!!!!!!!!! Too much to deal with!!

I paid the fee to play the game advertisement free. I am still receiving advertisements in the game. I am not able to close the advertisements. I have to exit the game go then go back into the game to continue playing.

The Pros= I like the challenge level of this it’s not too easy that it eventually becomes boring, and at the same time it’s not so frustratingly hard that you just want to give up and throw your phone or whatever device that you have this app on up against the wall or something. And the best part is if you find yourself on a level that you can’t frustratingly beat like I am on right now currently you could just hit that Skip Button, and the only cost is all you have to do is suffer through a dreaded Ad.
It is also an Easy Pick Up and Play app. Next is that I also found the App is Surprisingly Colourful considering how simple it, which is not a bad thing as any extra thing that would’ve been unnecessary in my Opinion. Even tho there’s not a lot to collect but still it was kind of fun collecting all of the Hoop Themes, although I have to admit both the Burger and Pie ones kind of feels off but still nice to use. And I love the added details of the shadows as it gives the illusion of depth to the objects on screen. I also really Appreciate how Smooth the Game and the Game Play this app has. And I really love the Stage Completion Animation, it sort of makes going through that frustrating stage all the much worth it.
The Cons= As good as this app is some times, it just feels like a Ad Trap because if you Hit the Reset Button you get an Ad if you want more Gems you have to see an Ad. And of course like I have already started before if you decide to Skip the Stage you are also forced to watch an Ad. And that should do it unless I’m Forgetting anything else.
