2.0.0
August 20, 2026
HoopCast 2.0 is here: the biggest update we've ever shipped. The entire app has been redesigned from the court up, with a new broadcast console, an enhanced scoreboard, a new international mode, and a rebuilt streaming engine, optimized for the real networks of gyms and arenas. Every improvement is battle-tested with the lessons of the many matches streamed on HoopCast 1.0. ALL-NEW BROADCAST CONSOLE Your home screen is now a dark, glanceable control room. Teams, colors and logos live on the matchup card: tap a crest to set them. Stream destination and key are in the Broadcast card, with a one-tap TEST. When you're ready, slide to go live. ENHANCED BROADCAST-GRADE SCOREBOARD New on-air design with team crests, colors, clock and quarter. Team fouls with bonus indicator, following FIBA/NBA (5 fouls) or US college (7 fouls) rules. Score with one tap: choose +1, +2 or +3, and watch the points land with a broadcast-style animation. NEW INTERNATIONAL MODE Streaming national teams? Switch to International in settings and pick from 250+ built-in country flags, with official three-letter codes and team colors set automatically from each flag. A TOUGHER STREAMING ENGINE Rock-steady video delivery, tuned for the networks games are actually played on. Quality adapts smoothly to weak 4-5G moments instead of buffering, the go-live status tells you honestly where your stream stands (connecting, host reachable, live), and if the network drops, the app reconnects on its own. Your setup survives restarts: teams, colors, logos and stream key are all there when you come back, game-ready. UNDER THE HOOD Dozens of performance, stability and efficiency improvements throughout the app, from rendering to power use. ALSO NEW Default team logos and channel badge out of the box, clearer camera and microphone permission handling, and more reliable subscription management. Heads-up for returning streamers: things have moved! Everything you know is still here. Teams are on the matchup card, stream settings under Broadcast, and go-live at the bottom.
