Great game idea but completely and utterly ruined by ads, and don't skip over this review thinking its just another guy moaning about ads. The ads make the game nearly unplayable. Banners and such I don't mind, but half of the time when you die, a delayed ad pops up over the retry option so you are continuously being redirected to the App Store looking at some crappy app that you have no interest in at all. And this is no infrequent event. The game is not the easiest and until you get the hang of it you can expect to be double tapping that home button and switching back to the app several times per minute. Sort it out get rid of stupid pop up ads in games. We all hate them and I have taken to specifically ignoring anything that is advertised in this way regardless of whether I would have liked the app or not. If it's a pop up image redirect, then I'm not supporting it, and you shouldn't either. Our media is being populated with evermore intrusive and irritating ads, and we shouldn't have to put up with it.

Edit: Developer response. Wow I totally forgot about this review. I am sure the ads in question were just from a buggy version of the game. I am not opposed to ads in general as I understand the need to make money from free games. It was just the intrusive and involuntary nature of the ads in question that was so irritating. I shall update my rating. Thanks for the response.

Thanks Camderman for your passionate review. You're right and we agree that ads suck and need to perform better if they're going to stay. We're working with our ad partners on this, who we need to work with in order to financially support the game, our lives, our families, and keep our jobs. The ads should never be accidental clicks and we have since released an update fixing this. Thanks again for your review, and keep up the good fight, we'll keep it up on our side too.

Well.....

All my friends have this game and they love it, but whenever I open it on my phone(iPhone 6S) it doesn't start. It crashes at the "nerd." screen

This is a cool game.. But you never make changes.. Try to put like any type of competition to see who is the best.

Thanks Trevor4570. That's a fair comment. We should be running some new competitions in the future. We have just been so bad at social media until lately to be honest! But we'll throw something soon. Mainly around our newer game's, but hop hop ninja still does really well, so it's definitely in our competition plans. Thanks for the review dude

thanks 2addictive5me, but those ads support our living and our families, we hate ads too to be honest but it allows people to play our games for free. hope you can consider this and allow us to keep our jobs

Great game but...

Ok so this is a great game. Very addictive. But 2 things. 1)the flying objects in the background need to go. They are way to distracting. 2) this needs to be a Game Center connectable app. I want to see how well I do against others who play the game. Other than those to things, I love hop hop ninja.

Great Fun!

Fun addictive game, a lot better now ads are reduced, would love to be able to contact the developers of the game, just to get some info on top scores etc as I've done pretty good! well worth the download!
