Password not working
I sent a request for new password and it fails
Usually spot on, sometimes a little off but not by much.
With the correct environmental conditions input and load ballistics the adjustments recommended by the 4DOF are usually spot on from 600 yds in. 538 is the farthest I’ve taken a muledeer with it, but that was a -13 degree decline with a 24 mph crosswind (175 grain Fusion Tipped in 7PRC). The shot was a little high but it dropped him in his tracks. The previous year I took one at 505 yd with an old 30-06 using the 4DOF calculations. When I first started using it, I’d compare its output to my own calculations and it was usually pretty darn close. Outside of 350, I trust the app. more than my own math and use it all the time now.
A free way to get environmental conditions if you don’t have a Kestrel or similar instrument to pair with the 4DOF app is to download the Burris Connect app, set up a rifle profile and then press “request environmental data” in the “ballistics” tab. Then type that info. into the 4DOF app. Works for me anyways.

Will not work
It crashed every time you try to select ammunition. I’ve deleted and reloaded the app 3 times and it never fixes the problem. Don’t waste your time on this app.

The only brand I shoot
I have used Hornady bullets and ammo for over 30 years and I know when the trigger is squeezed and my Hornady leave the barrel there will be meat on the ground. I love your 325 grain XTP 490 Ruger ammo, it has taken a few Russian boat and a boatload of deer with my Taurus Raging Bull revolver.You keep doing your thing and I’ll take care of the rest.

Pay options not working
I tried to do the paid upgrades and was charged. However every time I try to use them they want to charge me again. I’ve closed out the app and even deleted and reinstalled with the same issue. I ended up getting a refund from apple.

Hornady technician was very knowledgeable, courteous and helpful.

I’ve historically used Ballistic AE. However I’ve grown fond of this app. It could be a 10/10 if it worked on my Apple Watch as well. AB can’t be the only one out there capable of getting their app to work on smart watches.

Best Ammunition
Very good but a little limiting
Tried out the 4dof and love the idea of an angular zero, but the app is pretty restrictive to Hornady loads. They are open to others, but the library is limited and the regular ballistic calc is meh.
Switched to their group analysis feature after ballistic x pushed an update that ruined their app.
Hornadys version is great. If devs read these, would you please add a feature to put multiple POA / groups on a single photo without having to re-enter all the other data?
If not, a button to let you delete all impacts at once (rather than one by one) so you can change the POA again would be a decent consolation.
Again, would love for you to toll out the angular zero for the regular ballistic calc as well.

It sort of does the job
It crashes often and doesn’t seem to want to remember my login but it does do the job most of the time
It would be so sick
The app doesn’t even launch right after it’s done downloading. I’ve tried restarting my phone, uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times. I’ve tried launching in airplane mode on different WiFi and even switching my data plan (dual simming) it still doesn’t launch. I am using the up 15 base model. I got 26.4 installed as well.

No Bluetooth
Ballistics solver works great, only complaint is attempting to pair my kestrel, it says Bluetooth is off when it most assuredly is.

Garbage
What a shocking app. Takes an age to load, crashes, doesn’t have metres or MILs. Don’t bother.
Hard to find bullets
There are some bullets that are easy to find because they’re named specifically and then other bullets are not, or you have to dig deep to find them. They should all be in order of bullet size and then put them in order of ballistic coefficient. Best to worst.

Loved the app in the past . Bought several load information but now can login even with reset. Total waste of money. Should have just bought hard manual

Shooting solution is way off. It won’t let me manually enter the correct point of impact so additional yard calculations will also be off.
