Could be great, but falls way short.
Searching and adding cars by simply snapping a pic is great. App won’t let you create individual lists. If you add the same car at a later date to a separate list, it changes the quantity of all lists with the same car. So for inventory purposes it is worthless. If you have five of the same cars on one list and add 1 car to a new list, it changes the total quantity of all lists to one. Another major downside of this App is you cannot print out a copy of the lists. Major bummer because you don’t find out the real limitations until you “unlock” the premium features by paying.

Why does a hot wheels app need to be updated every time it is launched? Even banking apps do not have this requirement.
Horrendous money grab
I have never witten a review for any slop app before but advertising your scanning feature for weeks but hiding it behind a 15$ a month paywall is nothing less than scummy. you have 1/10th the hotwheels people actually have then have the nerve to charge for your ai scanning system I have deleted this app and will not redownload

Great utility turned into a cash grab
I loved this app at first. It was clean, functional, and allowed me to catalogue over 1,400 cars from my collection without issue. Suddenly, after putting in all the time and effort to log my die-cast cars, they update the app and cap the free tier at 250 cars. Now I’m expected to pay a monthly or annual subscription just to add new cars to my existing collection.
It feels like a total bait-and-switch to let users put hours into building their digital garages for free, only to lock basic cataloging features behind a paywall later. A major multi-billion-dollar brand shouldn't be subscription-gouging its most dedicated collectors. Extremely disappointed.
Paywalling premium scanner tools or extra features is one thing, but capping basic garage capacity at 250 cars punishes actual collectors. I won't be subscribing, and I won't recommend this app to anyone with a serious collection until they fix the free limits.

Was great until the photo update
Suddenly being hit for garage space and paying for photo lookup. The app was great until then. Same with red line and over drive. I’m about done paying when I still cannot beat the bots or have to pay some subscription to collect my hobby. Why must everyone need money so badly
Features are hard to use; and limited ..
I have to manually type in my cars only allowed 3 a day. I own like 300 and want to get more but can only have 250. Me and several friends collect and I’d like to use it easier .
Ruined With Payment Update
Have added over 800 cars to my “garage” then did latest update to find out I’m over the 250 car limit and need to now pay $1.99 a month to continue or delete cars until I reach the approved limit. Gave up on the Redline Club since Mattel does nothing to prevent bots and scalpers. Talk about a ruined hobby.

I found this app extremely useful for highlighting and organising my collection, I enjoy the “List” feature, and collecting badges along the way, I can’t believe I got the founders badge, one of the rarest. I wish Mattel could make a similar app to this one, but it’s instead made for Matchbox.

Not what it used to be
Before yesterday, this would’ve been a 5 star app. I could track my collection, which is numbered in the thousands, and keep track of all my cars at no cost. Mattel has now needlessly shoehorned in a paid subscription service for literally no reason and limits me to 250 cars when I have over 1000. If you have to charge people just to catalog their car collections, you’re simply greedy and scummy. This is the easiest and most streamlined app to keep track of hot wheels collections but I can no longer continue to use this app to track my constantly growing collection because a multibillion dollar company wants to squeeze us for a few extra dollars. Do better.

Exactly as described! A really useful app for keeping track of what you already have in your collection. Big thanks to the developers for continuously improving and updating the app! I would give it 5 stars if the free version allowed more than three photo scans per day.

Great customer service
When I first downloaded the app I rated it one star. I was unable to create an account . Within 48 hours the developer (Mattel) reached out to me through Apple. They had me describe my issue and send screenshots. Found out that my settings were not correct. They had me change my settings and I have had no issues since. Highly recommend this app. I have Cataloged my entire collection .(500+) cars. Great database! My cars are 25+ years old.

Aplicativo muito bom para quem coleciona Hot Wheels. É fácil de usar, bem organizado e ajuda bastante a conhecer e acompanhar os modelos da coleção. Só é uma pena não ter uma versão em português, o que tornaria a experiência ainda melhor para os colecionadores brasileiros. Recomendo!

I loved the app, very easy to use but I’m not sure why they took away the picture scanning search, I hope they bring it back soon! It’s so easy to search for a car just by taking a picture of it!
