Hotspot Arena is a local-first jetpack arena shooter built for the same room. Grab 5 to 8 friends, connect over local WiFi, and battle it out in a fast 2D side-view arena. No internet. No servers. No accounts. One person hosts, everyone else joins, and the match begins in seconds. Fly with your jetpack around a large scrolling map, dodge behind rocky cover, and shoot it out. Last fighter standing — or the top score when the clock runs out — wins. FEATURES • Local multiplayer for up to 8 players over WiFi — zero internet required • Twin-stick controls: a fly stick for jetpack thrust (watch your fuel) and an aim + auto-fire stick • A full arsenal: 6 guns plus melee, with ammo and reload, two carried weapon slots, ground pickups, airdrops, and grenades • Three arena themes — jungle, temple, and city • Five character looks to pick from • Real weapon identities — AK-47, MP5, RPG-7 and more, each with its own on-screen look • Sealed loot crates you must shoot or punch open • Host-selectable win mode: By Score or By Time, with a tunable target • A follow camera with x2 / x4 / x6 zoom and off-screen player markers NO INTERNET, BY DESIGN Everything runs on your local network using Apple's peer-to-peer connectivity. There are no accounts, no logins, no ads, and nothing is collected or sent off your device. Just open the app, host or join, and play. BEST WITH FRIENDS NEARBY Built for couch and same-table sessions — pass the word, everyone opens the app, and you're in. Works best with 5 to 8 players, but you can play with fewer. Requires iPhone on iOS 14 or later. Landscape only. On first launch, please allow the local network permission — the game uses it to find the other players' iPhones.
