Inconsistent.
Sometimes I can cast to my tv from my iPhone while sometimes I can’t. The app won’t open at times. I tried deleting it and. Re-downloading in multiple times but still it won’t work.
App not working
Downloaded the app and whenever I open it, it is stuck in the loading screen with the app logo. I have re downloaded the app a few time and still the same result.
No airplay!
Such a Big name, id hope to have airplay option in the video player! Not even available in the browser player.
Chrome cast is not working for Hotstar original content
Chrome cast is not at all working for hotstar original content, when I clicked on chrome cast icon to cast this content chrome cast gets initiated on tv but unable to play. Please resolved this issue.
Bad app
You have to pay to watch the shows on this app and some families can not afford to pay to watch stuff and have nothing to do. Children want to watch shows on this app and then realised you have to pay for them please make a free app for children to watch Indian soaps on

Okay look you need to buy a subscription to even use the app this is stupid since In India its free why not make it free in the uk and have us watch ads as well? Only wanted to use this because I can get Indian serials on my telly but I missed a episode and couldn’t watch it again sothought of using this but in already paying a tv license and a sky plan and now you’s want people like me to pay for this garbage ? Progress tracking not possible
It gets very confusing as there’s no way to track episode progress unless you write down the episode number you’re on separately. You can’t even save favourite shows.
Needs to be more like Netflix where you just continue where you left off in a series easily.

downloaded this app and was enjoying it to the point where it didnt let me watch anything.
i subscribed twice because i was told that my transactions failed.
i downloaded in the belief that the videos will be downloaded into my iphone gallery only to find out that it downloades on to the app,
why??
i live in the uk. they have taken doubled the money from me. i paid £120, only to recieve nothing in return.
fix this app so that people can download videos on to their phone gallery and not on the app. tried screen recording it only to realise that the video had no sound.

For new movies it’s useless
First : No VPN allowed... guess what even Netflix is not that strict.
Second : you advertise that certain movies are now available to stream in IPL breaks but can’t find those movies.
Third : can’t see any exact benefit of paying extra when nothing’s exclusive.
I found movies are made available very quickly on ZEE5.
App is easy to work and cast on google or smart tv. It’s not tricky to control like forward and rewind while casting.
I understand that subscription offered to me at massive discount but I don’t see me renewing at regular price.
My experience is with movies only and not sure about the series.
Second : you advertise that certain movies are now available to stream in IPL breaks but can’t find those movies.

App is ok but can be better
I have subscribed to this service for a month with no free trial to try the app like other apps. Streaming works fine on google Chromecast but sometimes picture is grainy on screen for live matches. Movie catalogue is disappointing and should be improved if they are to keep their customers.

i started subscription while ago no response from hotstar only conformation came threw via Apple subscription paid via paypal monthly tariff have been charged but still kept saying to purchased again so finally has been sorted got monty subscription might get a later in feature some programs are hd720 and some full HD 1080P no 4k contents! also you can downloaded and watch them later! let see how it goes.

Absolute scam
I subscribe two days ago. Half time streaming didn’t work and when it worked I keep getting audio issues. So I cancelled thinking it will work for month as I paid for month but on third day after subscription it stop working as I cancelled my subscription on second day. I didn’t got any refund or any service for my money. Worst service ever. If you guys really serious about getting sting customer base outside of India then improve your service and provide better customer service. I waster £12 and got nothing for it. Would have gave ZERO star if possible.

Cricket coverage not fit for viewing
The cricket coverage is frankly pathetic. The video why is pathetic. The cricket coverage is pathetic. Cricket was great on Sky Sports, but Hotstar has killed it. It’s fine if your in India, but itisn’t ready or geared towards an International audience. Plus you can’t even watch it in tv as it doesn’t support Apple TV. Simply not fit for an international audience. Disappointing, and I hope at least the IPL will be on Sky Sports

Only shows home matches not away
Well, if you are paying money to watch all Indian matches then you will be disappointed. Only shows matches that are played in India and that too not all, you could imagine how many time India play in India.
There are other ways to watch matches for free in HD and that too all cricket matches, why waste money on Subscription on Hotstar? Hoping to see movies? You will be disappointed to, movie list doesn’t change for six months.

Missing Apple TV support
The apps works fine as expected (not all programs are available due to regional restrictions. Main draw back is only chrome cast is supported but not Apple TV though it was available in India for a long time. Not quite sure what it’s taking such a long time to make the Apple TV app available to the other regions where we’re paying higher subscription fees. Hope it will available soon so that we can enjoy the HD streams on TV.

Although great content but you can't stream on TV. When you have legitimately paid for the subscription, customer should have option to stream it on a TV
Not recognising my subscription
Save yourself and don’t buy this app I just purchased the plan for a year when there was deal on hotstar Uk site.. whenever I open the app it didn’t recognise my details and I need to open my account first every time I visit the app and now it is telling me to pay more for the subscription and there is no sign of my old subscription it’s like I’ve purchased some kind of headache for myself and you’ll not get all the programs available on hotstar India.. only few programs are available on hotstar Uk

I bought the subscription for cricket and movies
I gave 3 stars because
- live games you cannot mirror with Apple TV
- some movie they show in their adverts are not available in UK
- most important reason of all, it doesn’t save where you stopped your video and you have to resume from start or swipe to go to the point where you have watched up to. For me this is annoying
Overall good but need to improve on content as well as app’s user friendliness.

Can’t cast live event to Apple TV
App seems to think that you are recording screen and hence does not allow you to watch live cricket match via Apple TV from iOs 12. I tried turning off screen recording altogether for all apps but still no help. Hopefully a simple fix in next version. Please. Please. please.
