During the winter of 1944-1945, in the midst of World War II, Houffalize became a major memorial site for the Battle of the Bulge. This village witnessed intense battles between American and German forces, endured devastating bombings, and suffered tragic civilian losses, paying a heavy price for these dramatic events.
On January 16, 1945, troops from the First U.S. Army joined those of the Third Army, marking far more than a simple meeting: a symbolic and strategic victory signaling the beginning of Germany’s defeat.
Each immersive video, lasting 2 to 3 minutes, geolocated and in 360°, puts you at the heart of events that shaped the end of World War II.
