Ghost plays
I love the app, but it has a life of its own and starts playing outloud even after I’ve force closed. Has now happened to me in several work meetings.

I have been using this app daily for years to keep on top of the news and appreciate it so much.
Random starts
I love this app, but it has started randomly turning on over and over. It also doesn’t show up in the open apps when I swipe up. I have to scroll to the app icon to shut it off. Hate to do it, but I’m going to have to delete it if this continues.
Please fix ghost starting
Have been using the app for many years using most up to date version on my iPhone 15. The app begins to play frequently on its own even if it is not opened on my phone. My only recourse is to keep phone volume off so it doesn’t start playing in places I would not want my phone to make sound. Ty
A plunge downward
BBC is gone. CBC now polluted with ads, DWNews now only a brief. 🥵
Dependable
Just works. So many cruddy apps glitch, this one isn’t flashy - just chugs along.
Longest used app in a decade
This is the longest and most frequently used app of mind over the last decade. Thank you for creating this. It has opened my world significantly and made me intelligent about most news. One of the stories I listened to helped me make the decision to go to Switzerland and get on the train that goes through the alps in the winter. Beautiful sights. To die for. This app helped me know about something I may never have come across.

If you follow, the markets are your end of world news, this is totally worth the price.
Multiple news outlets and it updates automatically to the most recent news summary that they each put out throughout the day.
And the Wall Street Journal Minute updates three times a day. Love the app.

This is great…when it works.
I’ve had problems on 3 occasions with this app. If you try to use the link from the App Store to contact the developer, it doesn’t connect to a valid site.
This and the weather app are the only apps I use everyday
It’s been over 10 years since I found this app and began using it. I don’t have a single complaint. I use it every morning while I shower. I recommend it highly. More than worth the single dollar.
A really annoying bug spontaneously starts playing the news at all hours of the day…
This has long been one of my favorite apps, but recently there is a bug that allows the app to spontaneously start playing. This is super annoying when I am in a client meeting and suddenly the news starts playing on my phone.. Please please please fix this bug. Thank you.
iPadOS version crashes
My iPad is running iOS 18.3. When opening the iPad - iPhone version it crashes. I deleted it then downloaded the iPhone only version under the app stores filter, which will run on iPad. This version still works. Hasn’t had an update in 7 years. I gave it 2 stars because I still really like being able to hear news summaries from a bunch of different sources all in one spot.

Perfect! I Love This App
I downloaded this app a couple of years ago and I still love it. It’s the perfect way to be fully informed but avoid the 24 hour cable news hyperbole and speculation machine. Respected journalists from all of the major news sources delivering the news in a neutral way, without all of the yelling, updated every hour. You really can be fully informed and keep your sanity.

My morning "Go to" App.
I’m so glad this app exists! Have used it for over 5 years.
Useful app, but: ‘updates’ that disable existing features, & spontaneous playback at awkward times.
A recent update to the app introduced a change that may disappoint longtime users. A key feature — adding custom news sources — now costs $1 per custom source you want to add. This feature had been free until the update.
Also, the app sometimes starts playing spontaneously in the background, e.g., during an important meeting or while you’re asleep. To prevent this, force-quit the app when you’re done using it.

Crash on Launch
Need a fix on iOS 17.4.1
No longer works!
It WAS a great app - now it’s just a waste of time. Will not load, will not stay connected used it daily for years - now searching for something else. Any suggestions for a replacement?
